Abrupt ending
It's a sweet story. There are some hilarious moments that liven up the book. It's a bit of a disconnect for me that the female lead wants to run a dating agency for BBW, while remaining so insecure about her own chances with men. The ending was also incredibly abrupt. It felt as though the author ran out of time and just stuck a paragraph to wrap up the storyline. That didn't feel good to me. Not sure if I will buy more of her books.

From laughter to love
Becky knew what she wanted, to get out of her dead end job and build a dating site for plus size women, and she had come to the conclusion that if she couldn't find love for herself at least she could find love for other women.Reed didn't know what he wanted, not entirely. He wanted to be a professional photographer, but when it came to women...he always went for the same type; tall, slender, beautiful. He never once considered dating a plus sized girl. The attractive women were drawn to him so why go for the soft ones that society deems fat and unattractive. A little over a month away from his own wedding to a tall slender beauty, that he only proposed to because it seemed like the thing to do, Reed meets Becky, and can't get her off his mind. What's a man to do when faced with the magazine beauty he engaged to or the woman of his dreams, that he'd never have given a second glance before. Well lots of laughter later I can honestly say I liked this book, but I really didn't know quite what to say about it, it was hilarious in so many parts, but judging by my long drab synopsis review...I guess it fell flat for me. Three stars because apparently I'm not as impressed as I want to be, but for laughter in the first half, five stars, for a total of four. I recommend it, but don't set your sights too high.

A very light read
This book was written in a very simple manner. It was a bit slow in the beginning and didn't really pick up until around chapter 8, and then from there it was light speed to the end, meaning the story quickly unraveled without much more development in the characters or story-line, and all events just happened without much thought. Many of the one-star reviews complained about POV changes and grammatical errors. The POV changes were sometimes abrupt but not as disconcerting as described and the grammar errors could have been corrected with proper editing but unless you are a grammar-nazi, it shouldn't detract from the story. The title has little to do with the book other than acting as a backdrop to what the main character is working towards, career wise.Becky Holgate, main character, is a big girl with a lot of insecurities, working towards a goal of opening a dating agency for big women like herself. She catches the eye of Reed Amwell, total stud who appreciates her for who she is, which she finds so hard to believe much less deal with because that has never been her experience before, as an overweight woman. Some readers think this makes the main character a whiny baby, but I believe the emotions she deals with and describes are the most genuine thing about this book. Can entrepreneurs run a business and be insecure at the same time? Yes. After so many heartbreaks, would it be hard to believe something good can happen in your life? Yes. Does this make for a bad story? No.While the premise is good, I would have liked to have seen a bit more character/story development. The main characters wasted no time falling into bed together, but what makes this more fantasy than believable is that there is not one mention of using protection or any follow up thoughts on consequences for unsafe sex. There were some definite laugh out loud moments but the author skipped right to the ending making this more of a short story or as I like to call it, a beach read, but in the end I didn't feel like I wasted my time and wouldn't mind reading another book by this author if I want something light and funny.

Fun quick read :)
Becky Holgate's lost her focus. It’s complicated...she didn’t mean to fall in love with another woman’s guy. How could she be a matchmaker for other people if all she could think about was her own heart? Determined to ignore her growing infatuation, she set her site on building her career. Only Reed Amwell was making it hard to concentrate; every encounter left her breathless.Reed didn’t mean to fall for the curvy girl, but she was carefree, silly, and fresh. Her soft curves and playful heart had him questioning his current relationship. Could he be with the wrong girl? He needed to figure it out fast, because his wedding day was getting closer by the minute. With a laugh-out-loud best friend, an insane cat, and a business to run, Becky Holgate didn’t have time for guys like Reed Amwell...until time was running out.My thoughtsI really loved this book! It was a quick, fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed! I just bought the rest of the trilogy and can't wait to read them.I loved how nervous Becky got around Reed.. how everything would be perfect in her head.. then something hilarious would happen. I love books that can just make me laugh & smile. A few parts were a little outrageous but I really loved it.This is my first book from Ava Catori and wont be the last.I love the insecurities that Becky has.. I think Ava hit them spot on! Especially the scene with her and Reed in her bedroom. This was my first BBW romance ..I can totally relate to the heroine.Great read! Short & sweet

Good read 📖
This book shows that curvy girls have the same feelings as slim girls. Becks is a great character that wants to set up her own business, and runs into Reed who she then gets a giant crush on. Let the comedy prevail 😅Also there's her best friend Sam, who gives us entertainment throughout the book with her antics. There are a few errors in the book, but you can overlook them as it's a well written book otherwise. I'd recommend it for a fun quick read.

Funny for all the wrong reasons
This is, without doubt, the worst book I have ever read in my life: terrible, predictable plot, the thinnest of thin charaterisation, atrocious dialogue, and laughable sex scenes that include the phrase, ‘naughty bits’, not to mention several Anastasiaesque exclamations of, ‘Holy cow!’The only thing that saved it was how hilariously the bad writing is and that the author admits defeat and simply jumps straight to Six Months Later and half a page of here I am on my wedding day.The whole thing reads like the musings of a thirteen year old girl tying to write her first novel. It’s bloody dire and hilarious in equal measure.

Light hearted fun
Becky Holgate had a dream to start her own dating agency for the more curvier ladies but with the bank refusing her the money to help get set up, she had to go it alone and so Plush Daisies was invented. With the help of her friend Sam and the luscious Reed Amwell helping out with the photography, will Becky ever find true love and succeed in finding love for women just like her. Can she find a match for her best friend Sam who has trouble getting past the little annoying habits that men she dates has, and can she actually go on a date where she doesn't sleep with the guy straight away? Sam also has to deal with a little dog grooming competition encroaching on her territory but it may not be a bad situation to be in.To top it off, Becky ends up falling in love with someone but he is about to get married to someone else and why would he be interested in someone like Becky anyway. Things aren't that easy for him either, with the wedding planning and mixed emotions running crazy. Why would he think twice about looking at a woman her size, when he can have any girl he wants. Can he remain friends with Becky or is it going to be a challenge keeping his feelings out of the friendship ? I have to say, I really enjoyed this book from the word go. It had me giggling especially when it came to conversations between Becky and Sam and how honest they are with each other. You could imagine how the conversations on the phone would sound and what they would be like when they are together.Being not so skinny myself, I could totally get where Becky was coming from with her confidence or should I say lack of. Always deciding that people would judge you for your size and jump to conclusions about what they think. The author really managed to show those feelings in Becky's character quite well.I also enjoyed that she wanted people her size to find love as well, and she was prepared to take a risk starting her own business to help them achieve it. There weren't enough men to pair up to the women when it came to registering potential matches, and I think that shows what the crueller side of society think like and the fact that it does exist. This story shows that beauty is skin deep and if you can love the person inside then others around you will too. Its your personality that is the true beauty of yourself and not the mirror image that you see in a morning.I would warn you though, there are some raunchy sections in this book (not fifty shades raunchy) so if you aren't a fan of a bit of light steam then this book wouldn't be for you but if you can get past it and see the story behind it then you are in for a treat.

Yawn
When I started this book it looked promising, thought it was going to be funny and a laugh out loud read. Unfortunately it became quickly tedious and I am so glad it was a short story otherwise I don't think I could have finished it. I found the author seemed to repeat herself over and over, the same words describing the same meanings, what was said on one page was said again on another and then yet again on another! I ended up talking to the book, saying yes I already know that, yes that's already been mentioned, get on with the story already! The story, I found was a bit thin and weak and ultimately I was bored and couldn't wait for it to end. I felt I had to read it through to give an honest review. I won't be reading any more of this author's work, sorry.
