Q: Why doesn’t this device save on game boy color ? Is it the firmware ?

It does for the super Mario deluxe for me. Instead of saving it in the game, press the circle button at the top in the middle. Hit save game, then when u start playing that game, hit that same button, and hit the load game option. Hope this helps.

Q: What kind of games does it come with?

It has a nice selection of gameboy, gameboy color, gameboy advance, super nintendo, nes, etc... Games. The gameboy and gameboy color games don't save on my system, I'm not sure if it's like that on every system though.
