Awesome light output, look and quality.
As I opened the Amazon package, I found what looked to be two used lights based on the product boxes. Both seal tabs had been broken and the cardboard had seen better days. I was immediately suspicious that these were previous returns or something else. It was clear that the boxes had been opened. As I pulled the bulbs out of the boxes, I noticed they still had protective film on the lenses and absolutely no evidence of being test fit or tampered with. Not sure if Philips is just recycling old boxes, but the lights looked new.Install was a breeze. No different than replacing a standard H6054 halogen bulb. Couple screws later and the lights tested perfectly. Once aligned, I’m extremely impressed with the light output and new look/attitude it gives to the night look of my car. Hoping for a long life as that’s the only other thing I’m nervous about based on other reviews here.Lastly, one thing I’m not particularly happy with (but not negatively impacting the score) my car thinks that the headlights are blown. These lights are not “no error.” It would have been really nice, especially for the price, for these to have some kind of internal circuitry to prevent headlight bulb out faults.

Bad lighting characteristics
So I originally purchased these in October of 2024 and have since been running them. At this time I would say they are certainly not worth the price, at my time of purchasing they were nearly 140$ per light. Now with the reduced price it is no surprise as the light quality is so sub par its hard to believe these are actually DOT compliant. The light spread is minimal at best and they have serious lighting hot spots that illuminate about 3' of whatever there pointing at, everything surrounding the hot spots you would be better off using candles for headlights. Would not recommend.

Blows my old Halogens away...
Philps has been in the business of lighting since 1891 which is around 2 years after Edison w/company and Swan succeeded in getting them to work. Even though Philips name has changed hands, their lighting is of great quality and reliable. Lot of companies making/selling some pretty pathetic excuses for headlights. There are some good ones though and a ton of not so good ones. I would rather be in the group that say "I replaced my headlights and can see better now than ever before." Than the group that says "My headlights look cool but I can't drive safely at night with them". These LEDs should last quite a while and probably draw less power than the OEM Halogens. They cost more but sometimes you have to pay a bit more for quality. They plugged right in to my 92 GMC Box Van. No adapters needed for my vehicle. Tested both out as soon as I received them to make sure everything worked. One did not have low beam but after resetting the connector everything was fine. Probably my 32 year old electrical connector. Place the new on on the driver's side and left the old halogen on the passenger side. Will still need to adjust them, but I am very happy.

Great Option to Replace Old Sealed Beams
I got these headlights to replace the glorified glowworms powering my old headlights in my 1983 Mercedes 300SD. It completely changed how nice the car was to drive at night, especially on the highways and rural roads. After the upgrade, my headlights were on par if not better than those of a new 2024 SUV. Installation was straightforward with no wiring changes, although I had to re-align headlights over the stock bulbs. It has been a few years, with thousands of mostly-night miles on them, and no issues yet! Especially with the relatively conservative styling (compared to many other LED replacements), I recommend this upgrade for any daily-driven older vehicle and plan to upgrade my International truck soon with the same headlights.

Bright, even spread -- expensive, but worth it
There are a lot of LED headlights for older cars, but almost all of them look like cheap junk -- not the style I was going for on my 1986 Pontiac Firebird! These are very expensive, but these were the only ones that looked like serious headlamps. Not only that, they work GREAT -- I was quite surprised at how well they work! After being properly aligned, the spread of light is very even and consistent with no hotspots or dim areas. In fact, in terms of brightness, these are far better than the original halogen lamps. And the switch between normal and high-beam is very effective, too.I can speak to longevity since I've only had these for a few months, and these are on a project car that stays locked in a garage most of the time (and when I do take it out, it's rarely at night).I didn't expect LED headlamps to work this well -- great job, Philips!

PRAISE THE SUN
These things are BRIGHT! I love them! Plug and play with my 88' s10 other then my stupid truck brackets breaking lol but so far theyre going strong, everyone i know who sees them gives me a compliment theyre all blown away with the increase in brightness. The beam pattern is what really got me onto these lights, watched a few videos, first ordered a cheaper pair and i could tell they had no beam whatsoever... just blinding light about 5ft infront of my truck lol but these lights blow them out of the water.Ill update if i run into any issues but so far theyre amazing! If you got the extra cash for them DONT HESITATE!!! THEYRE WORTH EVERY PENNY
