Smaller than expected
Calculating area is always weird. I bought this for counter storage and these seem rather tiny for being half gallon. I didn't actually measure if they were half gallon as they fit my foods and they are super cute on the back of the counter.

Love glass jars

Nice but cheap plastic seal
I like the jars but buyers be ware it doesn't have a rubber seal. It's plastic and hard to get off for children. I read reviews all the time. Believe the others on this product It's plastic not rubber. I will have to replace the plastic It's cheap.

Seals tight, glass isn't very clear
I bought these for terrariums. The jars seal super tight. Unfortunately, the glass is cloudy and not very clear for viewing a terrarium.
