Thermaltake 120mm Pure A12 PWN Case Fan (Single Pack)-White CL-F109-PL12WT-B

Please be aware that there are ore than one model of fan covered on this page. There are the RGB version and the single color versions. My review is for the Green CL-F110-PL14GR-B single color model. Testing was done with the fan mounted outside of a case. Accuracy of my numbers is probably about +- 5%.Overall a decent fan for the money. Good color, brighter than the Corsair ML140 PRO. Quite quiet with a mid-range hum that only shows up when the percent PWM output goes beyond the maximum RPM of the fan. For example, one fan reached maximum RPM (at 1440 RPM) at about 96% PWM with an almost in-audible hum. As the PWM percentage goes up from there so does the the hum although the RPM does not increase. Since you will rarely if ever run the fan for any prolonged period at these rates I don't consider it an issue.The most interesting result and the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the PWM range. Typically a fan reached it's minimum RPM at 20% PWM and remains at that rate below 20%. Both of the Thermaltake fans I tested bottomed out at about 40% at a little over 500 RPM. The manufacturer specifies a 500 to 1500 RPM range so the actual range is right in line with the spec but a minimum RPM at 40% PWM is unusual.Based on that finding I don't think that I would use these in a build. And if ultimate quiet is your goal the minimum RPM of 500 is rather high. Still, for the price quite acceptable.

Easy to install, it's a fan after all. The material quality is very good and great for smooth light distribution.Unlike clear blades, this gives you a better dispersion of soft to medium light that looks better IMO than the Las Vegas type lighting that we used to have.On startup you will hear it spin up but only for a second or two. After that it's pretty silent and pushes a good amount of air in or out of your computer case depending on how you use it.The power connection cable is rubber fiber black so it camos itself well inside dark cases.Compared to a lot of other fans I've used previously, the build, bearings and fan spin feel much better than the Cooler Master and Apevia fans I used years ago.

Hello,Needed this to cool down a pc with a 2080 Super card in it - It helps a lot... Only issue is, the fan seems a bit weak for a fan of that size.No noticeable noise, doesn't rattle or shake or vibrate.

Needed a new case fan, looked a bunch of options and settled on this one. After hooking it up I am very happy with the volume level (quieter than my old fan, but also not silent either), and the brightness of the blue LED is perfect (just a soft glow in the case). I would buy again in the future.

Replaced my CPU heatsink fans with these due to a deteriorating bearing in one.I was worried that the LEDs would be too bright but I find them to be on the subtle side.Due to PC placement they are always in the corner of my eye when at my PC and they don't bother me at all.

I used this to replace the back stock fan on my Thermaltake v200 case. It really is a nice addition to a custom build.

I'm using this fan as an exhaust. If you have spare motherboard standoffs, they will fit the bolts that come with the fan. Everything else about the fan is nice.

They worked great for a while, quiet under 60% power, airflow was alright, but I've had them a little over 2 weeks now and they've started making a buzzing/grinding noise whenever they speed up.

Works great and looks great. Centre sticker isn’t perfectly square so it “moves” when spinning but that’s just me being picky.
