Sturdy and entertaining for a 2 year old
Bought for my 2 year old nephew for his birthday, he loves this show and is in a big trucks-of-all-kinds phase. The book itself is a decently sturdy board book, with LOTS of flaps for kids to look under. It seems very short, but it has so many things to look at and under on each page that it kept him engaged for like 20 minutes.I've not seen the show, so maybe this is a thing they do, but I was surprised (but pleased) by the specific definitions. For example, they defined "friction" and "hydrofoil", which was great, because I had zero clue wtf a hydrofoil was supposed to be lol. All the wording, even the scientific definitions, were written in a very age appropriate way. The story itself isn't anything to write home about, but he was completely engrossed, which is a major win for a kid with an attention span as short as his.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with both the quality and content.

Great quality book
This is a super cute book. The lift of flaps are great. There’s several on every page for toddlers and keeping their attention. Heavy duty lift a flap also.

Great for Blaze fans
My daughter (5) and son (3) are both fans of the show and this book. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is the same story as the episode in which Crusher steals Gabby's toolbox. I like my kids to see their favorite stories retold in multiple formats so I don't have an issue with it. The quality of the book is good, the flaps have held up to multiple readings. My quibble with the book is that some of the flaps really should be opened in a particular order to propel the story forward however this is not indicated in any way on the outside of the flaps (ie. by numbering them). I find this mildly annoying enough to mention it and also consider it a missed opportunity to incorporate basic math skills. It's definitely not an award winner but it's a fun read for fans of the show.

My son's favorite book!
This book combined lift up flaps and my son's favorite characters, Blaze and the monster machines. It was a great price and a great addition to his Easter basket
