Comfortable and secure for under-shirt.
These are light weight, entire straps are elastic. Excellent and comfortable to wear under your shirt. Clips are a bit hard to open, but grab fabric very well and will not come loose. Strap length adjusts with velcro, very easy and good hold, will not slip. As others have mentioned, sewing is one pass, no backstitching, and may need repair after some washes if it comes loose.

Comfortable
These are comfortable, the plastic clips are super strong and won’t let go. I’m short and the back X is a little high on my back when new. After wearing several times they have stretched out enough that when I adjust the front the straps the back straps are visible in the back at the neck. I wish the adjustment Velcro was also on back straps. Got 2 pair today, that’s at least number 9 and 10. I think these are the first not made in USA. A clip broke on my last pair I tossed. They were pretty old.

Best Ever
I have several other brands of suspenders that have been hanging in my closet for years. 8 yeas to be exact, because that’s how long ago I purchased these suspenders. They are the only suspenders I have tried that rarely come unfastened so they are the only ones I use. These are the only suspenders I wear and I’m still on my first pair. Although the stitching that holds the suspenders together where the straps cross over has worn off on one side, I am still wearing the suspenders and they work. However, they make me feel lopsided so I finally have to buy a new pair. I would recommend these suspenders to anybody who wears suspenders on a daily basis. They have lasted me eight years.,they are high-quality and they just work.

Great Suspenders for wearing under shirts
Pants just do not stay up on me anymore (turned 40 and my hips disappeared). Plus add a wallet and cell phone, now the weight is pulling them down. I used to crank my belt to hold them up, but that gave me lots of lower back band. I do wear normal suspenders sometimes, but wanted something that I could wear under my work shirt (pressed, button up collared company shirt) and on off hours with shorts or pants. These work great! For work I wear a white t-shirt, and the suspenders are over the t-shirt. But I wear them directly on my skin when wearing shorts or during off hours. They are easy to clip and un-clip. They are not so bulky that they shout look at me when wearing them, unless you do skin tight shirts. Walking around all day at Sea World in 90 degree heat, they were still comfortable. They are also very easy to adjust. Different pants (and shorts) ride at different heights on my body. So being able to quickly change them for each pair of pants or shorts is very nice. After fours months, they have not retained any odors. I hand wash mine when needed. (I have two of them now) The material is soft and the velcro is positioned so it does not scratch. The only negative, and I do not think it is really a negative, thing I can say is that sometimes the clips will push into my back when I am driving. I think it has a lot to do with how I am sitting and which car I am in, as I do not notice it in my truck, but do in my wife's car. It is not bad, and usually a slight shift in position and I am good to go.They are supposed to be airport friendly. I have not tested this yet, but will be doing so next month. If I have any problems I will update this review, but I expect there will not be any issues. Final word: I LOVE THEMEDIT: 05/27/2015It has been 2 years since my first purchase of this item. I bought a second pair 3 months after the first pair. I still love these.I have been through the airport multiple times, and other than the occasional query about them, they have not been an issue at all. They have survived two years of daily use. I wear these 5-7 days a week.Mon-Fri from 6am till 6pm and on the weekends as needed.I do try to alternate, but I have a feeling one pair has been worn more than the other. The velcro is starting to slip. My wife says she can pick the velcro clean and it will stick again. (love that woman) Since i have to adjust them every day to fit the pants I am wearing, that is a lot of pull and stick on the velcro, but I figure two years of constant use is pretty good. I noticed someone complained abut it being uncomfortable sitting in a chair. I have the same issue when I drive my wife's car on any long (2+ hours) trip. But I drive around all day in a Ridgeline and never notice that I am wearing them. Since I am also at different locations every day, I can also say that I have not found an office chair that was uncomfortable while wearing them. But that said, it will depend on how the buckles are lining up with the lumbar support, or the sides of the chair/seat.

Comfortable and performs well.
I purchased two pairs: 1.5” and 2” wide. The 1.5” pair worked well with lightweight exercise pants but I think the 2” pair is more appropriate for conventional slacks. I’ve had these for a few months and used the 2” pair daily during a vacation abroad. They were remarkably comfortable even on a seven hour flight. I used the pair both inside my shirt and externally. Twice I caught one of the clasps on something and caused it to release and the suspenders were inspected during one airport security checkpoint. A different brand began to show signs of the elastic deteriorating but these have shown no signs. I plan to purchase a second 2” black pair for another trip abroad next month to permit having a pair to wear while the other pair dries from being washed.

No damage and the straps stay up!
Previously I bought metal-clasp suspenders, which damaged my clothing. They rust when I sweat and ruined shirts and pants. The metal clasps also physically damaged the waistband of my pants. These suspenders work much better. The clasps are plastic and very well made. The Velcro for adjusting the length of the suspenders works well and the material used for the straps stay on my shoulders better than previous purchases. Just bought another pair and threw away my suspenders made with metal.

Great product / Major design flaw
I bought 3 pair of these, they work very well, that is until the tiny metal pin that holds the gripper parts together falls out and disappears.Any one else find that happening?I give them 3 star because they are comfortable and fulfill my needs inspire of the design flawI found I could use a bit of wire for a makeshift pin so all was not lost, but really, should I have to?I called the company once I had lost all four pins in one pair.Asked them if they were aware of the problem, which I understood they were not (?)Could this really be happening only to me?Asked if I could purchase additional pins to replace them as I needed to, was told, no, they do not sell parts.I see this as a significant flaw in the design and manufacturing, one that could easily be addressed been if it added to the cost and price. The mfg offered to replace one of the three pair that had lost all four pins once I paid to return them.As a suspender they are great, just know they have a major flaw that needs fixin'
