Kura Grass Fed Dairy Protein Powder, Vanilla, New Zealand Born, 10 Count Single-Serve Travel Packets

As far as protein powders go, I generally prefer the plant-based ones over the whey. Whey can be really nasty tasting and tend to be rather hard on the kidneys. The Kura just might prove to be the exception to a lot of my objections. It does have a lot going for it, including the fact that it’s actually palatable. I’m on a medical diet and do need that extra bit of protein now and then as I’m on a predominately plant-based diet. Sometimes the taste of some protein powders, whey or otherwise, can be a total turnoff.My standard suggestion is that if you have any problems with graininess or the taste of any protein powder, simply mix it in yogurt. Most of the plant-based powders clump so badly they need to be mixed in a blender. Not so with the Kura. I put some milk in a standard hand shaker, added the Kura, shook for a few seconds, and poured it out. There was absolutely no clumping and, of course, it wasn’t grainy or gritty tasting.I put the milk in first and then added the Kura to prevent clumping, but it really mixed well. This particular whey protein has a lot going for it, including the fact that it from a grass-fed dairy source. No chances of any odd antibiotics in this protein mix. The only problem I had was the fact that the bag doesn’t re-close well, but I simply used a chip clip.One serving provides a decent 18 grams of protein, but this is not for those individuals watching their weight as one serving has 160 calories. The boost is needed for some, including my husband. I love this stuff! Last year I got a couple of single serving samples of it to try, and was really impressed by the taste. I wasn't familiar with the brand and just assumed it would be something far too expensive for me to buy for myself- the samples were that good! Then I happened upon it on Amazon a few months ago, and the price was very reasonable- cheaper than most other products of not as good taste or texture. I've been keeping it in stock, and I have a full scoop with my morning coffee every morning. It has been a life changer as I've always had a hard time getting enough protein into my diet. I love that it has no sweeteners - I'm allergic to stevia, which is used in so many whey powders. This will always be my go-to.

Price is really good compared to other grass-fed whey protein and the taste is really good, I mix it with quinoa and maca powder for extra protein and energy and almond milk; I like it because it's creamy and It is more like a chocolate milk taste so, sometime use a little bit more to feel more the cacao. It doesn't have any sugar added so I usually add stevia. Because it has whole milk as part of the ingredients it may give you a little bit of indigestion if you are lactose intolerant, but I don't have that problem. SO far, really pleased with this purchase.

I love the taste of the chocolate flavor Kura and it looks like it's healthy - but I'm very frustrated with the zip lock of the bags. I've bought this several times and every single time, the zip lock doesn't work well. The powder leaks out and I have to be careful where I store it. One time I had to dump the whole bag into a plastic container with a lid. Why can't they get this right? Thousands of products use ziplock bags that work perfectly. It's a silly problem to have and should be easily fixed.

Excellent taste and product. I have been trying many different Protein supplements and this by far is the best for me. I was looking for one to provide not only sufficient protein, vitamins and minerals, but with no added sugars, especially stevia. It mixes well into smoothies, when making oatmeal. I even use it to thicken my yogurt. Kura has an excellent customer service team. They sent me samples to try before I enrolled in Amazon's subscribe/save for the product. Their website is worth checking out as well for wellness information and recipe ideas.I have tried both vanilla and berry. Both are delicious. I will continue to use as a supplement to help with weight gain and my strength training program.

I've only been using it for a few days, but so far so good. The taste is very good. No weird taste or aftertaste. I make a smoothie everyday, and I add fruit and additional supplements. I would say the only drawback that it's more expensive than some others, but then again you get what you pay for. I'll continue to use it and will probably order it again.

It look some experimenting at first, but I've come to really like this powder. I add it to 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 frozen berries, some spinach, and 1/2 tsp honey. The honey was the key. Before I added the honey I really didn't like it.

I think it’s one the best whey protein. I really like the way this product mixes. The texture is better than most. It would be nice if it had a little more vanilla flavor.
