Sesame Street - Three Bears and a New Baby [VHS]

My daughter loves this!
My 19 month old daughter is literally obsessed w/ this video--she wants to watch it all day, every day (we've limited her to once per day only). A friend gave it to me to prepare her for her new sister who's coming in the next few weeks. Personally, I think this video is about 20 mins too long (it's almost an hour and tends to drag on and on in a few parts), kinda ends on a down note and--worst of all--Baby Bear has a weird speech impediment that makes him say a lot of words incorrectly, like typical "child talk" ie. "bear" is "bayurh." I find that speech issue to set a bad example for my child. Other than that, it's a cute story and keeps my daughter fully occupied while I put makeup on or do my hair for work.

This video is great! It is from the perspective of baby bear
We are having a baby in the spring and needed some tools to help prepare our three year old. This video is great! It is from the perspective of baby bear. It goes through the anticipation of having the baby and what happens after the baby joins the family. I would recommend this video for siblings ages 18 months to 5 years old.

Helping to welcome family babies...
Got this movie for my niece when her baby brother was on the way. She loves the movie and watches it every day. Just purchased a second copy for another niece. The movie is a bit corny (like all sesame street), but the little kids love it. It deals with the emotions and changes that happen when a second baby is born. Message is basically, don't be afraid of changes because they can be really fun and your love grows each time another person is born...there is always enough love to go around. I recommend this movie as a good resource for helping small children prepare for the arrival of a new sibling.

Educational, but a little dull
Got this for my toddler to prepare him for the arrival of his baby sister (in addition to some other books). Though he recognizes the Sesame Street characters, I wish it was a newer version with Elmo and Zoe. He enjoys them more. It's basically like a slow movie with no singing, dancing, or games involved, which my toddler loves about Sesame Street shows. So, it's a little dull and he loses interest quickly. I'm glad we got other books with this order, because he seems more attuned to those.

It's a little long and not really engaging for little ones but for older kids it's good.
Bought this video to get my three year old ready for his baby sister but it didn't keep his attention. My 9 and 6 year old kids watched it more than he did. It's a little long and not really engaging for little ones but for older kids it's good.

Can't go wrong with Sesame Street!
Perfect for any youngster who has a new baby sibling on the way. Deals with the changes and expectation to prepare for a change in home dynamic.

Good DVD. Typical Sesame Street way of dealing with a topic in a child friendly way. My day care kids watched it many times, esp when a mama was expecting.
