The studs in our walls were not 16 inches on center and I did not trust the drywall to place a wall board hanger.Fortunately, I was able to use the bar near our swim spa and it allows for safe ingress and egress along with providing a nice towel holder.Made do with the product. The company was good enough to offer a refund, but the fault is on my end and not with the handle.
