Evel Kenivel was one of my hero's and i had this toy when i was a kid. I got this one for my grandson for christmas. He loves it!

This thing is great, bought it for my four year old nephew as a Christmas present and he loved playing with as well as us older guys reliving our childhoods!! Lol! It seemed it was built as tough as the toys of the seventies and last I heard it still works and he still plays with it years afterward! You cant go wrong with this one, whoever had the idea of re-making them was a genius! Remember the old, smash , bang, crash up derby cars from Kenner in the seventies? Now if they only re-made those also it would be genius also but the sissy folks of now a days would probably sue the maker because someone scratched their toe and tripped on one on of the pieces and broke a fingernail or something!!

Only took me 50 years to finally getting one of these. I could have bought one decades ago but never really thought about it till recently. I think it is too pricey but you gotta pay if you wanna play. Of course it's just going to sit unboxed on a shelf and not be played with. Well packaged though it was shipped in it's retail box only.

Nice item--- not as sturdy as the one we had back in the 70's, but what is anymore. Nice blast from the past. Bought as a gift for my brother for Christmas and he was very happy to see one again. I doubt it would last long if a child actually played with it for very long (or as hard as we did with his original when WE were kids) but it made a nice keepsake for him as an adult. He did run it a few times just for fun.

I like that this classic toy is re-issued under California Creations. I really didn’t buy it for constantly playing with because I just like that it reminds me of my youth in the 1970’s. A childhood friend had an original one that I used to play with and I remember how much abuse and punishment that toy went through! So, for me, it’s mainly for display. Don’t get me wrong it does work and it’s playable. I guess I’m lucky that the motorcycle didn’t come broken, the energizer didn’t turn out to be defective or missing any parts. The Evel Knievel action figure looks just like the original along with its helmet, although I do remember that the quality of the original costume was much more nicer if I’m not mistaken. Other reviewers say that it’s not as sturdy as the original one, but again for me, it’s mainly for display.
