the Picatrix is an interesting read. this book has information regarding the Zodiac, creating talismans, developing an understanding of science and astrology, prayer, and several others. all valuable knowledge to be aware of when committing time and energy to working with mystical forces.while some of the recipes require ingredients that are either illegal or very hard to procure, the overall theory of the Picatrix is of one that leads the student to have a better grounded understanding of the world that they are about to enter.

it is not for beginners, but I still recommend it to anyone who what esoteric knowledge re: Astro Magick. highly recommend

personally found the text difficult to understand because it requires a thorough understanding of astrology such as constellations, horary charts, mansions of the moon, etc. I'm sure this is a great book for those who are more steeped in astrology and magic, but much of it was not within my comprehension.

A excellent collection of old magick, not to be used without thorough study and understanding. Much of this magick could be deadly to the practitioner if descrition is not used. TGW...

read each chapter as a whole, like a looking at a map from a far view, construct your perception with no corners, without getting lost in the footnotes and puzzles.
