My new favorite tattoo product
I recently got a tattoo covering my leg from my ankle to my knee, over the course of 4 sessions. After the first session I had used Aquaphor (which was previously my go-to for fresh tattoos), then I received Badeya Ink as a gift after the second session and began using it on the fresh tattoo. In terms of moisturizing and healing, the Shea butter balm works just as well as Aquaphor. It is easier and cleaner to apply and doesn't leave a grease stain on everything that touches my leg, which is a great improvement over the Aquaphor seeping through my pants. This is now my favorite product for a fresh tattoo based on its functionality, and knowing that it is helping women in Burkina Faso makes me love it even more.The healed tattoo with Badeya Ink.

the product is too hard and does not apply easily. The skin on a new tattoo is sore
I bought this product for after care of a new tattoo. I would say that this is NOT a product for a new tattoo...the product is too hard and does not apply easily. The skin on a new tattoo is sore, flaking, scabs, etc and this product tears at the skin of a new tattoo. Do not use on a new tattoo!I am using it on older, existing tattoos and find it good for that purpose (nice scent, hydrating, etc).I also found the price expensive considering the small amount of product in the tube.
