Recorded a potential thief on the first night!
We installed a wired Eufy doorbell and were so pleased that we ordered this camera system as well. On the first night we captured the video of a person trying to break into our car. What a surprise! We turned the video over to our police department and notified neighbors and security has been stepped up in our area.We have since ordered an add-on camera--we now have the video doorbell and 3 EufyCam 2 Pro cameras. Installation was easy and so far everything is working well. It takes a little tweaking to get the right locations and notifications but once it's set up it's done. We found that not using "activity zones" worked best for us and provided the best sensitivity. We gave the same notification sound to all cameras and the doorbell, so if they go off we recognize immediately that someone is around. We're tuned into that sound and we don't sleep through it if it's at night. All cameras and HomeBase were set up on my iPhone--I'm the main Admin. After everything was installed I went into settings for the Doorbell and the HomeBase and invited my husband to be another Admin. (In the app go to 3 bars on top left--Family and Guest. Hit + sign and invite a guest or admin.) My husband downloaded the app and he and I see the following in the app--Doorbell camera, Cam 1, Cam 2 and Cam 3. We both get notification and everything works the same for us.One thing that I like on both the doorbell and cameras is that when it records, it shows you a closeup of the thing that triggered the camera. Usually a closeup of the persons face, but sometimes a gust of wind will make the palm tree trigger it. The palm is then in the close-up so I know it was not a person. This doesn't happen often. The night vision is good with minimal outdoor light and several people have commented about the clarity of the picture. With outside lights on, the night vision is in color. If motion is detected, it starts recording on it's own and notifies you.We have a Comcast gateway router and a Euro WiFi Extender system. The Eufy Homebase is plugged into one of the Euro extenders which is located about 35 feet from the router. Outdoor cameras are approximately 35 feet from the Eufy Homebase and have 4 strength bars. Right now I have the Homebase connected via Ethernet cable to the Euro extender but may switch this to WiFi if we decide to add more cameras. It is my understanding that you can add up to 16 cameras to one Homebase. Don't think we'll need that many. Our reasons for purchasing this system over others were: 2k camera--very clear. No monthly fees--we monitor it ourselves. No wiring needed. Human detection captures people not pets. Can speak through the camera to the person outside. IP67 Weatherproof is the best you can get--we get LOTs of rain and wind in South Florida. 365 days battery life. We've had the cameras up for one week and are very happy with this 5 Star purchase.

The Very Best Home Security Camera System
I bought this for the SECOND time ( sold previous house and left system for new homeowner). So easy to install, even for this older gal, and NO MONTHLY CLOUD fee. Super clear pictures. Great app that makes viewing alerted videos or just “ checking” your property very easy . Good filters to include people, not dogs or other critters, for alerts. Microphone allows talking with app very convenient . I can attest that the battery dies last a year on single charge. Taking cameras down to recharge is simple and without need for tools. Have recommended to my friends and family. 5 stars!!!

Love My Eufy
My Eufy pro cam arrived 2 days ago. I gave each camera their initial charge before installing them. This took about 6 hours each. I bought the cameras with 365 day charge. I downloaded the app and began the installation the following day. Very simple and intuitive. One very helpful feature in the app is the signal meter that indicates the strength of your wifi signal at the location where you intend to install the camera. However, when I attempted to move the base from a CatV connection to a wifi connect, I ran into a glitch. There is nothing in the instruction booklet that mentions wifi connection. After clunking around a bit I checked in settings for the base and found the wifi setup in there. Simple from there just like any other device. The cameras are high quality and the picture is superb. I love this kit. Soooo much better than my Nest setup that I have in my summer house. I have 2 cousins who have the same system and they also love theirs. I highly recommend this product.

First year was great, then down hill
Purchased November 2021. This system worked well for the first year. In the eleventh month the Homebase failed and Eufy sent me another one. Since that first year, however, the Homebase will disconnect from my WiFi (which is in direct sight less than 20' away) for no apparent reason. It will stay offline for 10-15 minutes....or at least the red light is on. All other devices that use the WiFi have no problem, even 60' away. Also, the Homebase drives us crazy notifying us of a hit that occurred several days ago. If you forget and leave the cameras on and go outside you will be videoed several times and if you fail to go in and open each one of those videos the Homebase will wake you, even when if occurred days ago. Also, the Homebase constantly forgets what the date is....Video quality is very good and the camera batteries will last about two months when you turn the cameras on at night and then off when you are at home. The AI motion detection that is supposed to identify a Human apart from some animal does not work well at all. Since we made this purchase Eufy has begun to tell customers that the AI Human Motion Detection does not work at night!!!! What the HECK!! That is why I purchased these cameras is because I did not wish to be awakened each time a Deer or Racoon passed by! We are awakened several times a month in the middle of the night because a Deer, Cat or Skunk walks by.Since this is the first surveillance camera system we have purchased I honestly cannot say that this Eufy System is worse or better than other brands. Customer Support has been middle of the road and it is not easy to get in contact with a tech....at least that has been our experience.Overall, the physical quality of these cameras is very good. The Homebase works when it wishes to. I have a difficult time recommending this system.

Great camera!
These cameras are the best cameras I have purchased. I have not installed them outside yet, but when charging them, they pick up and record all motion , and you can set the level of motion you want each camera to record. The other awesome attribute is no need to purchase iCloud! The app is awesome, easy to navigate. These cameras are great and totally worth the purchase !

Excellent home kit secure video integration
If you have more than one camera, you will need 2 terabyte iCloud acct to recorded and stream video. Easy to install. Added an internal 2k also work with hksv. Only 1080 on HomeKit, but that’s apple’s limitation. Great sound recording as well. Also have Arlo pros - they are very limited in function without Arlo subscription. If I had to do over, would go with Eufy for great HomeKit integration. Waiting for a eufy doorbell with hksv support!

Works great out of the box - at -30C
I purchased the Eufycam2 unit over others since there was no subscription required and looks to be able to connect to my local security DVR. They have worked well over the last months through some frigid weather with a week of highs in the -20 to -25 C range (-4 to -13 Fahrenheit). At this temperature I;m not going to get 1 year - but should make the rest of the winter.Liked:- no subscription needed to use- RTSP option of streaming to security DVR- Good battery life- easy to setup- Android and iOS appsCould improve:- need to signup for an account and use a mobile app to access full functionality- Base USB port but no external storage (coming soon - ha!)- Android app for tablets- Replaceable battery. I don't buy things planning to toss it out in 2-3 years. It doesn't have to a user swappable, just let me buy a replacement battery after it goes off warranty. Don't become Apple on this.

Love this system
Just what i was looking for. Everything seems to be built to last (only time will tell on that score). Super easy to set up. The only problem that I had was trying to scan the QR code, but a manual work around was an option, so did it that way. Good wide range of view, so two cameras covered all of the area that I want to cover.

Awful experience
A very frustrating product. When it works, it’s pretty good but the intermittent operation makes it not worth the price.Battery life: definitely not as advertised but I honestly didn’t expect that. We get maybe 90 days from a full charge in a pretty quiet neighbourhood (Southern Ontario). The only part that really irks me about the battery life is how long it takes to charge. In my experience it’s at minimum a 12 hour venture to recharge to full which leaves us without a security camera during that time.Motion detection: works 80% of the time, does not matter what settings you select, it’s not consistently reliable. And if you select the most sensitive be prepared to have that battery life shrink to 30 days.Homebase: this to me is the absolute worst part of this system. It just randomly stops working, reboot it and it still fails. Bring the cameras back in and re-sync, still not working. Then anywhere from 30 mins to 6 hours later it just begins to work. It’s illogical and so very frustrating.Video quality: it’s fine. Not poor but not anything spectacular.Cameras: finicky. These go offline on their own, with lots of battery life left. I think it may be the homebase though. One of my cameras will not charge beyond 74% and eufy customer service has agreed to replace it but I need to send it back on my own dime and wait for them to send me a new one and reimburse me for the shipping cost. It’s not the end of the world but not exactly easy either. (Still waiting on the replacement camera to arrive, hopefully it’s better). My $50 Wyze cams seem to be better. This is just far overpriced for what you get.
