AZT Plus The Original Propane Tank Refill Adapter

ok, so like everyone else thinks...what do I do with all these empty 1lb propane bottles??? Every time I want to purchase something I look it up on amazon for two things: reviews, and price. I went ahead and ordered it so I can start reusing my empty bottles. Watched a bunch of youtube videos on the best methods: ie: put empty bottles in the freezer prior to filling, and invert the 20lb master tank upside down while refilling. All said and done, it does work. There is a caveat, you cant fully fill them back to factory weight. What I did to test this out was take a brand new 1lb propane bottle and weighed it and weigh a bottle that I just refilled back up. My conclusion is that it stops refilling around 3/4 of the original weight. I'm not complaining, it just if anyone should know that you cant fill it back to factory weight with this product. Other than that, I have successfully filled 8 bottles from friends who gave me their empties.

Have not had a chance to use this yet but I had one before and it saves so much money being able to refill small bottles off of my large tank for camping. I had been looking for this for a while and could not locate one in town, don't know why I did not think of amazon sooner! Anyway I am very pleased with this and my boyfriend finally has to admit that this product does exist! The price is very good also. I recommend this to anyone using the smaller propane bottles as it really saves money refilling than buying new bottles all of the time. One note it does not fill the bottles quite as full as new but it is close, and the price makes it such a good value.

Good quality product. The only problem i had was when tightening a propane cylinder it will loosen the adapter on the large propane tank. The threads are opposite. What I would advise is holding the adapter on the large propane tank with a cresent. wrench when tightening a propane cylinder on the adapter. To get a good fill place the small propane cylinder in a freezer for several hours before filling. Do this only once as you can dangerously overfill the propane cylinder if you do this twice. Don't ask how I know.

Great device to save a lot with little effort. Use this to refill cylinders for my Mr. Heater Buddy. I wanted the compact portability of the heater and this device makes it economical to use it that way. I was on the edge of getting the hose to connect to a 20lb cylinder then read the reviews on this device and ordered it with some concern over workability. Works great, just make sure you tighten with wrench onto the 20# cylinder, and watch some of the videos on youtube.

works great but can be difficult to install tight enough to prevent leaks unless you have a wrench. Would be nice if it had features to allow better hand tightening.

Doesn't come with instructions. This is something you don't want to get wrong. I know what you're thinking, "you just screw in and fill up". Well friend I'm here to tell you that if you do that you will only fill your bottles about half way. There are plenty of Youtube videos that show you how to safely fill your tanks to full.

This works as advertised, however I can only get a partial fill in the small tanks. Knowing that, I still would have purchased. It seems that I can only fill them about a 1/4 of the way. To be honest, it very possible that I may not be using correctly, hence the reason I rated 5 stars.

Nice to be able to refill my little tanks. I wish I knew how to do it without loosing so much gas. No instructions or filling-tips included.
