Unique Water-brush that holds Ink too!
The reason I first sought out this water-brush is because of a new found interest in brush pens. I love the idea of a pen with a brush tip. The creative uses are endless. And unlike felt tip markers you can achieve realistic textures similar to paint brushes. My only problem was that available sizes were limited with most diameters around 1/16". I was very excited to come across these water-brushes. This particular set has diameters between 4/16" and 6/16". This is the reason I originally purchased them but not why I absolutely love them.The reason I love them is because of the following:1. The unique design incorporates both a water-brush and brush pen into one tool. No longer do you have to buy these items separately. Not only can you fill them with water but you can also fill them with your favorite inks and watercolors. Most brush pens (that are not disposable) require you to buy each individual brush pen color or buy an expensive ink converter to add your favorite color. If no ink converter is available then you would have to buy cartridges with a very limited amount of available colors. In most cases it would be black. With these brushes, you are only limited to the colors in your art box.3. These water-brushes are perfect for painting on the go. Whether your at home, traveling or spending a day at the park, painting is simplified. By filling up the brush reservoir with water, there is no need to lug around a bottle of water. You simply turn the knob to the desired amount of moisture and begin painting.4. Although there are a variety of water-brushes available, there are many traits of the piston water-brush that make them a better buy. Even though your typical water-brush has individual strands for the brush tip (unlike felt tip) they are usually made with synthetic fibers and/or even plastic. These piston water-brushes are made with 100% natural hair. By having this, you can achieve the beautiful strokes and textures that you would a paint brush. The different types of hair available gives the brushes varying flexibility(firm versus soft versus mixed) and increases the resiliency causing the brush to spring back to a sharp point after each stroke. Cleaning is very easy. I typically use warm water to rinse the "hairs" and use the piston to draw water into the reservoir to clean out the inks and paints.8. The average water-brush gives you small, medium and large sizes. The piston water-brushes not only vary in brush length and diameter but also a variety of hair brush types including firm, soft and mixed. This is great for applying all kinds of stokes, lines and writings.9.
