Lice Lifters Head Lice Treatment Kit -lice shampoo

First time experiencing lice. Eek! I panicked and bought the R&C chemical lice product because we were on vacation in Canada. What a time to get lice! That seemed to help but there were still more bugs found within a week after the second treatment. Sigh! I bought this more natural treatment after reading and reading about how oils suffocate the lice and make it easier to comb out nits. That is exactly what this did! I didn't use the full amount listed on the bottle for myself and two daughters with long hair. (Even my poor 77yr old mother-in-law had it!) I did use enough to coat the hair (like when self coloring). And the biggest piece which helped me rest was the comb! Comb comb comb! Best advice to get rid if these bugs without spending a small fortune on going to a Nit/Lice Salon! This product was wonderful and we were completely rid of the infestation within three weeks! (And lots of laundry taken through the HOT cycle!). The guilt and panic that comes over you as a parent, not to mention the ick factor of having it myself, was all released after using this product. Comb daily and use this every couple if days. The bugs will die! And life will go back to normal.

Does not work - go to your doctor before headlice becomes infestation

It worked at the time and I followed every detailed instruction....combing out her hair for hours! I even did it an extra time. Now 3 weeks later, the lice is back. This was now a waste of money and I will be going to a salon to pay $300 to get this stuff gone for good. I wish I could get my money back. Also, on top of this we were using fairytale shampoo and these things still came back.

Disappointed because the bottle of mousse leaked a considerable amount!!

Great so far, my kids just smell like thanksgiving dinner after every shower. :)

I've been a parent for more than 15 years and spent several years working in a daycare. You'd think at some point I would have had some experience at getting rid of head lice, but it was only a few weeks ago that this dreaded infestation made its way into our home. My youngest somehow managed to catch head lice during summer break, maybe at day camp or maybe at a friend's house. Unfortunately, I chalked up his itchy head to allergies or bug bites (he is always afflicted with both during the summer) and didn't realize he had lice until they'd gotten themselves nice and established on his little head. Miraculously, he managed not to share the nasty little bugs with either of his two siblings or his parents.I first tried a homeopathic treatment I found at the local pharmacy. It involved a cream that had to stay in my son's hair for four hours. We did this time consuming treatment twice and I was still finding live bugs on my poor kid's head. After reading the reviews, I decided to try Nit Nanny instead and the results were so, so much better.Like the directions stated, I coated his hair with the first step and let it sit for ten minutes. I then rubbed a generous amount of Dawn dish soap all through his hair and then had him rinse well in the shower before using his regular shampoo. This easily got all of the oily product out of his hair. We then used the mousse to loosen any remaining nits and eggs and combed, combed, combed with the included comb. I also cleaned like crazy, washing sheets and vacuuming anything my kid's head could have touched. A few days later, I repeated the treatment and pulled maybe two or three nits out of his hair with the comb. After that, we found no more eggs or any sign of lice. I think The Nit Nanny is about is good as it can possibly get when you have to deal with lice.While I really, really, really hope we never have an issue with lice again, next time I will go straight for Nit Nanny. It may be a little pricey, but it definitely worth every penny.

Extremely disappointed as this was something we obviously needed in a timely fashion. Placed my first order for the kit and it came in a ripped padded envelope with only one bottle instead of all three pieces. I assumed the other two pieces fell out and had to return it and re-order it. The second time it came again with only one bottle. The description and all of the pictures clearly show that there are three pieces to this kit. I even looked through the questions to see that people did confirm that it came with all three pieces. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.
