Great value and amazing quality
My birds love these!! Not only are they having calcium, but they mimic they're natural diet. This is also the most cost-effective option. I've never had any issues with the delivery or the quality and I'm very glad that I found this brand.

My chickens LOVE these!
My chickens love these BSF grubs. Like most, I started with mealworms (which they also love), and graduated to BSF larvae because of the calcium content. I have oyster shell available, but the chickens barely bother with it. They haven't started laying yet, and I wanted something to supplement their layer feed, to lessen the chance of an unpleasant surprise when they begin laying. Like the mealworms, I use these for flock training. I pick each chicken up, and hand feed them while I hold them. This keeps them used to being handled, in the event that I need to move them or give medical care. Afterward, I place my ladies in a nesting box, and hand feed them again to encourage the use of the nesting boxes. UPDATE: All of my ladies are healthy and laying! Eggs have strong, thick shells. I do recommend purchasing a sealable container to store these in. The bag that comes in the box isn't resealable, and we had some mold from condensation in the remnants of our first box. Yuck! We composted the spoiled grubs, purchased a new box, and kept on. This probably isn't an issue if your grubs are kept indoors. Regardless, great product! Our eggs have a deep yellow-orange yolk, and taste noticeably better than grocery store eggs. I know people say that about all homegrown food, but this is the one instance I can say it's actually true. BSF grubs forever!

Mealworms for bluebirds
As described but my bluebirds did not care for them as well as regular mealy worms. But I must say the Mockingbirds were really enjoying them which they didn't come to the feeder for the other mealies

No bugs, very full box but my bluebirds won't eat them--yet
Pictures of bluebirds eating the BSF larvae were posted, so I bought a 2 lb box for them. I've been putting the larvae out for 2 days and the bluebirds come to the feeder, check out the larvae and leave without eating. Maybe I've spoiled them with the live mealworms? Keeping mealworms in my refrigerator isn't something I'm comfortable with, so when I learned of the BSF larvae, I thought I'd hit the jackpot! Less $, more calcium, easier to store--it sounded like a win! I'll continue offering the larvae and hopefully the birds will adapt. The bag in the box is so full of whole larvae (not pieces), absolutely no bug infestation as someone else mentioned and the larvae are really large.

Poor quality
Arrived with black bugs crawling within. The worms were also moldy. Quality of product has gone downhill. Will be purchasing elsewhere
