Birkenstock Madrid Mules/Clogs Women Black Mules Shoes

As a female with vey long toes and foot width between B and D I often wear men's / unisex UVA Birkenstocks I have been wearing khaki and navy versions this year and subjecting them to heavy wear. I like to walk on rugged country paths and on the beach and these are perfect for the job as I can wash them after wearing for muddy walks, get them wet with sea water and if I wear more expensive leather sandals to the beach they get ruined quickly by salt exposure. They are also way more comfortable than leather Birkenstocks for long walks. They are wonderfully supportive with great arch support and just the right amount of cushioning I have found that the lighter coloured Birkenstock EVA sandals become stained when even lightly scuffed so I prefer to stick to the darker colours. I have also encountered occasional pairs that make an embarrassing squelchy farting sound when worn, which is obviously not desirable I have bought many pairs direct from Birkenstock and discovered that there is a significant difference in sizes, both length and width between sizes. I would strongly advise potential buyers to try the shoes on soon after purchase so you can return them promptly if they don't fit I bought these in black men's size and they fit me perfectly and are a little shorter and narrower then the khaki and navy pairs I bought from Birkenstock. The pink pair which I bought from Birkenstock are much larger than my other Birkenstocks and scuffed leaving a dark stain the first time I wore them. I now avoid the lighter colours for this reason. These black ones fit me perfectly and I would be happy to buy them again. So to conclude; Be careful about sizing and weird farting sounds but once you find a pair that fits they are the best sandals ever for flat footed, hypermobile people looking to exercise in costal paths and beaches

They really are lovely and so comfortable. But a few words of advice, after having read a lot of comments about buying the narrow size instead and about the sizings in general in the reviews section. I went to the official Birkenstock UK website and under the tab "shop online" there is a sizing guide, and for women who are a size 7 in UK sizing, they state that you should purchase a size 40 in European sizing and the standard width. Unless you have narrow feet. Mine aren't especially wide or narrow and the regular width is perfect for me. Usually I'm a 41 in European sizing. But I thought I'd order the size 40 and return it, if it didn't fit well. As that was the recommendation on their website. I have to say it fits perfectly. I read the information on narrow or regular as well and this is what it said: "Regular or narrow? Even with foot health sandals the right fit is important. Therefore the Original Birkenstock foot bed is manufactured in two widths. When purchasing your Birkenstock sandals, ensure that you get the correct width. Birkenstocks are designed to be roomy. When you first try your sandals they might feel big. Most people are fine with a regular fitting, but if your foot moves side to side when you walk and adjusting the strap does not help, a narrow fitting may be more suitable. If you want to check the width of a pair of Birkenstocks you already own, you can tell by inspecting the foot bed where there is a small image of a foot - if it's filled in the shoe is a narrow fitting, and if it's an outline it's regular. Also all stock codes for narrow fittings end with 3" So well worth looking at the sizing guides carefully before ordering in my opinion. Do not use the sizing info on Amazon as your only guide before buying, unless you want to run the risk of having to return them again. As on Amazon it said I should purchase the 41 not 40. Perhaps Birkenstock are just a little different than usual shoe sizes :)

I love my new Birkenstocks, I wore them every single day of my travels whilst exploring Europe. They are comfortable and great shoes to wear in a hot climate. I only got slight rubbing after about 2 weeks continuous all-day wearing, and even then it wasn't enough to stop me from wearing them. The padding in the sole of the foot makes them great shoes for those who get sore feet from wearing cheap flat shoes such as flip-flops or dolly shoes. You can tell by just looking at them that they are good quality. My only recommendation is to check the sizing guide on the Birkenstock website before ordering! I did this and properly measured my foot and found that they fit perfectly. I also have an average width foot and chose 'narrow'.

Good fit....well made....nice colour.....fairly comfortable....great for holidays on or off the beach.....good investment and light as a feather to wearent. A little rubbing...but that's to be expected. Nothing too unmanageable. Would recommend for the price.

Much better than expected. To be honest I thought I had ordered the leather ones ( I’ve had many pairs) at a great price but these “sliders “ came. I can say that Birkenstock has done a super job of this alternative style. Fit is perfect and really soft plastic. Very comfortable.

I LOVE this shoe!! I bought these about 2 years ago and wore they so much I had to buy another pair. They have so much support I walk in these and my feet don’t hurt. I recommend these to every single person!!

Die Schuhe sind sehr bequem und sitzen perfekt. Auch sehen sie dazu noch gut aus. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Auch die Lieferzeit war top.

I wasn't cool then I got these shoes and I am way cool now.
