Worked great once she gained weight
My daughter sleeps well in this and it’s easy-ish and quiet. However it isn’t 100%. When she was first born (6.3 lbs), she escaped frequently. Her weight didn’t keep the arm flaps down. Now that she’s bigger, she has to work harder to get out, which she usually doesn’t bother with unless she’s hungry or it’s morning so she must like it. Unfortunately she’s now 12 weeks and 10+ lbs so she’ll probably outgrow it soon.

Easy to use
Baby loves this swaddle. We were using muslin blankets, but he was breaking out (and waking himself). Slept SO well right away in this swaddle.

Woombie vs. Miracle Blanket
My son loves the Woombie. My daughter loved the Miracle Blanket. As a parent that has now used two of the most popular baby swaddlers, here are some pros and cons of each.Woombie - We used the Houdini woombie in pool party and in vanilla crea (have one of each) and one Original Woombie in Raspberry color.Pros:Allows the hands to be across the chest or up near the face - this was the main reason my son hated the Miracle Blanket and loves the WoombieSnug - I haven't really noticed a difference between the Original and the Houdini versions although the Houdini is supposed to be a slightly firmer swaddle. Both are snug.Nice colors - All the colors we have are nice. None have faded or bled in the wash.Cons:The Big Baby and Mega Baby sizes are too long. There is so much excess fabric that hangs down. My two year old can still fit in the Mega Baby size, lengthwise, because it is sooo long.Does stretch out after many uses. You can fix that by tossing in the washer and then tumble dry. (It says line dry but who has time for that? We've always tumbled dry with no problems.)Fingers can creep out the top and scratch the face. He's never managed to get anything more than his fingers out, but just a warning that it can happen.**Biggest con - You have to keep buying bigger sizes if you want to continue to use it as they grow. If you buy two in each size (so that you'll always have one handy if one is in the wash), then that's over one hundred dollars in swaddle blankets. Yikes!!**Hard to use if you need to put baby someplace with straps - like a bouncy seat or swingTerrible return policy from Woombie - only unused and unwashed are accepted for returns with a 15% restocking fee!!The Miracle Blanket - We have two - one in pink and one in blue. We used these with my daughter until she rolled over from back to front, at about eight/nine months old.Pros:Fits any size baby. It's a super long wrap, so there's no way that your baby will ever be too big to fit width-wise. Lengthwise our daughter outgrew it around four months. Then we just stopped putting her feet in the pouch but keep wrapping her arms. Still worked great!! Also if you leave the feet out, it's easy to put the baby someplace with a three point harness like a bouncy seat or a swing. Can only purchase two and lasts until you need to stop swaddling!Colors are nice - never faded or bled in wash.**Best pro** - Miracle Blanket has amazing customer service. One of ours got a hole in it after three months of use. Miracle Blanket replaced it free of charge, not even charging for shipping the new blanket or return shipping. Doesn't matter where you bought it - they will replace it for you and fix the old one and donate to kids in need. AWESOME!Cons:Learning curve - Babysitters and grandma had an extremely hard time learning how to use this. The first time, despite a demonstration before we left, our babysitter put it on our daughter upside down so that the foot pouch was like a little hood! The blanket has a weakness where the foot pouch is sewn onto the main piece. After much use, it develops a hole from being pulled on by baby kicking or moving the feet in and out of the pouch. Both our blankets developed one. We had Miracle Blanket replace one, but decided to just keep going with the other one. The hole never got bigger that the radius of a straw but it's definitely a weakness in the fabric.Hands are down by the side - This was what our daughter liked, but our son hated it, so I guess it could be a pro or a con.Overall, I would recommend either. You just have to think about what your baby likes. I think the Miracle Blanket is better for a baby who really needs a firm swaddle with very little movement. The Woombie is for babies who like their hands up. Our daughter, who required a firm swaddle, just couldn't handle the amount of movement the Woombie allowed. She needed much more restriction. Our son prefers the freedom to arrange his arms around his chest or thighs as he likes. If you want to try one, start with the Miracle Blanket first since their return policy is better. If Woombie would change theirs, I would equally recommend them.

Love but inconsistent material
I normally don't review items but consider this a PSA regarding the miracle blanket. First and foremost, this is an awesome swaddle. I'm pretty good at swaddling with muslin cloths but as our LO got older, he started breaking out of them. We have tried so many different swaddles with my oldest son that didn't quite work. The Halo with wings has too much material but doesn't get super snug. It's too warm for the summer. The SwaddleMe Velcro didn't hold up and the sizing was inconsistent. The Happiest Baby sweet pea swaddle (at least the older version of it) worked best for my oldest son but my LO hated it the moment I tried it on him. This is the first time I tried the miracle blanket, and I have never had such an easy time putting my baby down. I swaddle him, stick a paci in his mouth and he's out in 5 minutes. He's never thrilled about being swaddled but he doesn't get cranky when we swaddle him in this unless we delay giving him the pacifier. Here's my one complaint: I ordered the one with the stars pattern first. The material was so thick and not soft at all, as some of the other reviews claimed. The longest wing wasn't long enough to tuck under my son. When I carried him, it was hard to keep the swaddle nice and neat. It never came undone but it never felt like he was tightly swaddled. But it was better than others I had tried. I was about to try the Ollie which is obnoxiously expensive. Instead, I read another Amazon review which mentioned this issue and ordered the solid gray blanket. I tried it today and it's perfect -- so soft, so snug. The stretch is just right. My son fell asleep even faster. It's also bigger in size than the one with the stars pattern. I also ordered the one with Chevron pattern -- it also seems to be different: much bigger and made with thinner material. I don't mind this because I think it will be better for the hot summer. All in all, I'm a fan, but beware of which pattern you purchase. Not all are created equal. If you want the true "miracle" effect, stick to the solid patterned ones.

Great gift!
Was a gift for my first grandbaby.... It was exactly as described. The material was soft, yet durable. Perfect!

Problem solver
Newborns sometimes just need to feel like they are back in the womb. Some people use a car seat, others sleep with the baby cuddled... this solves that problem! Get yourself back to sleep and swaddle the baby in this!~

I guess "miracle" is right
My baby settled better tonight than he has since he was a newborn. First night with the miracle blanket. In following the "Taking Cara Babies" class, I have been swaddling my baby for sleep since he was about week old. Now at 6wk we've tried muslin blanket swaddles, cotton "swaddleMe" swaddles and the fleece ones as well. All of those work fine but in the evening he still fights sleep and gets offended if I offer a pacifier. The miracle blanket I ordered arrived today, so I tried it at bedtime when baby was particularly over tired and grumpy. He settled really quickly and also accepted his MAM pacifier. Throughout the evening, as he would get fussy I his bassinet, I would just put his paci back in his mouth and he was instantly settled. No extra rocking and calming and soothing needed. Eventually he went into a deep sleep and stayed asleep until I needed to wake him for a feeding. So yes, only one evening to review. But I'm impressed so far.

It does the job but could do better
I bought this one and swaddleme at the same time. I personally like Swaddle me more because they are easier to use and I can wrap my baby faster. This one is a bit hard to tuck in baby’s arms on the side but just a bit easier than wrapping baby with muslin sheet.

Game changing swaddle
I cannot recommend this swaddle enough. Our bub is not only very comfortable, but the snug swaddle ensures their startle reflex is minimised which allows them to sleep longer!
