Very useful. It was available for an emergency situation and proved to be a necessary addition to the first aid kit.

*I am NOT a professional* Fortunately, I have not had reason to break into my supply of NAR consumables and I hope that that continues. The only time I do use their products is when I am able to afford and attend civilian emergency medical training courses. I have been to three over the last five years (again I am not an expert /journeyman on anything medical related) and each time, those groups have elected to use NAR as the materials to train with. So my review is this: I trust these materials because my instructors trust these materials. My instructors have been former USCG rescue swimmers, USAF pararesucemen, USA 18D’s and Navy corpsman (FMF or “green side” docs). The packaging is sterile, easy to access and there are even instructions on the packaging for folks like me who may go blank when the adrenaline is pumping from having to do the real thing. I’m only here to encourage those looking for good kit to read the professional reviews here so that they can make the best decision for themselves. Even better(!) rather than trust reviews online, go google different training available in your area so you can get recommendations from instructors like I did. Best of luck and be safe!

Perfect addition to my first aid kit.

Great addition to the Kit

Vacuum sealed package is robust, easy to open with pre cut slits for quick use. Bandage was in good condition. On opening it, I even took a swab and innoculated some agar gel and found no growths after 3 days so it was indeed sterile. The bandage was vacuum sealed in a manner that made the bandage bunch up into an almost cylinder shape instead of laying flat which increased the width of my small medical kit (a trauma blowout kit). This is a little frustrating because there is room in the packaging which would allow the bandage to lay flatter, but it was vacuum sealed so completely that there is absolutely no way you can squeeze the bandage around to reposition it inside. I would have preferred the bandage lay flatter for easier packing, but this may not be a problem for your use, it might actually be better for the form factor of your kit.

Easy enough to use. Stopped the bleeding from a 5" long by 1/2" deep jagged gash long enough for me to drive to the hospital 15 minutes away. While they obviously aren't NAR stuff, I keep these along with other stuff in my various 'stop the bleed kits' I have stashed around.

I bought this item for my med kit to take along on shooting days in the desert in the highly unlikely event that we have an injury. The items were received promptly and well packaged. All six were vacuum packed. I opened one to use during a demonstration of the product. It is just as advertised. Well built and large. I was able to wrap it tight enough to obtain and lock the pressure onto the simulated wound. Overall I am very satisfied and would purchase again.

This product was purchased on an emergency basis only. Hope I never have to use them packaging and the product itself looks like it’s in good quality.
