Raj's Rule (For the Bathroom at School)

My daughter loved this book when she was potty training at school.

My daughter was having anxiety about using the restroom at a new school, and this book was super helpful! It was just what we needed!

Who know this was a concern? Not me until our granddaughter started school. Thanks to the author for sharing your experiences with this book to help our family explain importance of school “breaks” better to a child.

Loved this book!! Most books I found on similar topics are aimed at potty training fears for tiny kids or for poop withholding. Our situation is an elementary kid who hates the auto flushers at school. This was perfect for her age, attitude (Raj is sweetly sarcastic), and fears. Highly highly recommend for kids with school toilet fears.

Our grand daughter was very bashful about going to the bathroom at school on her first day of kindergarten. We gave her this book as a no pressure way to allay her concerns. She loved the book, and has read it over and over to the point where she can recite it by memory. The best part is that on day two of school,she was no longer concerned and used the bathroom without hesitation.

Our son was very reticent about using the bathroom at school (he was just under three at the time). This book gave him the language to talk about using the potty and I think it helped convince him to try.

This is a good children’s book with a plot for a specific issue. It’s short, sweet, and to the point. Good illustrations. 4/5 stars only because I’m not sure the whole reverse psychology thing works for kids in the target age group, not sure if it’s helpful. We’ll keep the book and read it to our kids and see if it’s helpful in their potty training journeys!
