LOOKS like a truffle, feels like a truffle, smells like styrofoam.
No truffle flavor or smell. Zero. Zilch. The only thing it offered a top my Tournedos Rossini was the visual appeal of a sliced truffle, but nothing more. Luckily, I had some Sabatini Truffle Zest. So essentially, I had to flavor the truffle with truffle.

These are a tad milder compared to other summer truffles I usually get under the Urbani brand. However, to be fair, this was my first purchase of this other brand. I will order again later and update if a different batch is better.Note to future customers:Disregard the reviews on here claiming these truffles lack all flavor. These are SUMMER truffles, not winter. If you're looking for that punch in the face classic truffle smell and flavor then you need to source a white WINTER truffle or a black winter if you understand the difference in flavor profiles.

Our son is a chef..... We are pretty fortunate. We were discussing a truffle dish earlier in the week. It sounded wonderful so I said.....let me grab a truffle. He was specific with me- jarred from Italy. I found this product and ordered it for Sunday night dinner.As he finished the pasta dish tonight, he said "It's strange, I barely taste truffle and I used and entire one"He was correct, though the dish over all was good. The distinctive flavor of truffle was barely there. After dinner my husband commented.....the jar said "added flavor". I only wish that had been the case. ...

No taste like truffle at all
These truffles are not worth the price. They are in good condition and look nice, but taste terrible. There is literally no truffle taste at all, and they are totally bland. There is also no scent or smell of truffle to them whatsoever. Worst truffle I have ever had. May as well be eating cardboard.

Not great, but ok as long as you know what you're buying
This is a SUMMER truffle not a winter truffle, which is what is what most people will be looking for as the more expensive 'proper' one. This one has a much more mild smell and flavor. Make sure you know what you're buying.
