I use a lot of paprika. It's in various spice mixtures I make, including chile powder. I put it in broths, scrambled eggs, quiche and more. I top deviled eggs with it.Sweet paprika is dehydrated ground sweet red peppers. There are are also hot and smoked paprika but this isn't one of those.Don't expect smoky flavor or heat from this one. It also won't have a strong scent. Sweet paprika is a mild product.This is sweet paprika.I figure there is potential for a significant amount of pesticide in concentrated foods. I could be mistaken, but I try to eat as clean as I can.Even if the government thinks some level of pestocide is safe, organic is important to me in concentrated foods like tomato paste, paprika, and more.This paprika is organic, has good flavor, and the price I paid is good value for the fine quality I've come I’ve come to expect from this brand that I know and trust.

this is awesome paprika! fresh, pungent, sweet and mild flavor. if you have ever wondered why mess with paprika because it is bland and stale, then you need to try this. i use it in all sort of dishes, eggs, soups, stews, etc but it really shines in a BBQ rub. i mix it half and half with smoked paprika and add other spices and maybe sugar in depending on what i am BBQ'ing. ribs, roasts, even chicken is great with this stuff really slathered on. my husband said it's good on seafood (sorry i wouldn't know, i don't eat much fish).i made little jars of BBQ rub for christmas gifts last year and it was a huge hit- and very economical.this is a great price, especially with rubs since you use a lot of spice. it isn't too overpowering but it has a nice subtle, sweet paprika flavor (not spicy at all). the smell is almost intoxicating. i compared it to my smoked paprika, which is obviously stronger smelling, but i was surprised that this almost had a strong of a smell, and it smelled every bit as good. i will definitely buy again! fresh AND organic. which is great because peppers are usually heavily sprayed and thin skinned so the chemicals don't "rinse" off. good for the farmers and workers, too.i have had mostly hits and a few misses with frontier spices- this one they knocked it out of the ball park!

We love this product to no end. For those of us who frequently use paprika in cooking, this is a large amount for an economic price; (its 1 lb, so probably about 3-4 cups). If you use the stuff a lot, then getting it in bulk amounts like this is much more economical, and you are potentially saving a lot of money, because this quantity would cost 10 times more if you were to purchase that much paprika in typical little kitchen spice bottles. This paprika product is: on one hand, listed as organically grown sweet peppers, and on the other hand it smells and tastes so fresh, and has a sweet paprika aroma. The product comes in a thick air-tight opaque plastic bag with the professional Frotier brand label on it, which means no wasteful plastic or glass containers, and no extra costs for needless packaging. We have purchased this product from this manufacturer several times before, and we have never been disappointed yet. Once purchased, we recommend storing the powder in large air-tight glass jars fitted with air-tight metal lids (such as those which are used for canning). We also sometimes keep those in the refrigerator or freezer for long-term storage, and it all stays very fresh that way. This is an excellent excellent product. Two thumbs up!

I use a LOT of paprika in my regular recipes, and have tried a number of different brands. This one is, by FAR, the best I've ever used. The color is the first thing you'll notice - look at that bright red! Not brown like most store-bought brands. The smell is divine, and the flavor is such a wonderful complement to every dish I've used it for. It's not super spicy like some other brands, so I can use it liberally in recipes for my kids.BUY IT!!

I was supposed to receive smoked Paprika but it doesn't say that anywhere on the package, and the taste is no different than what I have bought before. But aside from that, it is very rich looking and the smell is wonderful! I suppose the taste is about what you would expect from any decent paprika, but the smell is amazing with this. Yes I would recommend.
