Great little radio
30,000 internet radio stations so not short on choices & very reliable, rarely disconnects. FM radio works without the aerial extended where we live. There is now no DAB on this version of the radio but that doesn't really matter given the many other choices, also DAB signal is not that great where we live. Sound quality is what you'd expect from a small radio, but not bad, goes loud enough. The display is a bit small but functional when you get the hang of it. Overall very pleased, does what I wanted, very neat & doesn't take up a lot of room.

good clear sound, but tiny search screen
OCEAN internet radio, is neat compact internet radio. seems sturdy enough, buttons are stable , clearly marked in white. And positive in use. Has hundreds and hundreds plus, of internet stations, plus FM radio, no DAB though. But for me is ok, as with the internet stations, I don`t need it. SOUND is clear, bright {but not shrill} quite involving and I found it to be very entertaining to listen to, even after a length of time. Also the re chargable battery, plus mains cable (thank you) is excellent. The radio has ample number( imo) of favourite stations facility to store. Blue tooth speaker, equaliser etc. The problem I had,(have) is with the tiny search screen, top left corner. It looks blue, on the photo, but doesn`t seem to have any colour at all. The letters and numbers are in black. Searching for a station is , for me, a chore . The letters are so tiny, and I have to get them under a certain light to be able to see. Even scrolling to select a favourite stored station is frustrating because of the little screen. Ok I have managed to search and store several stations now, to my favourites. But it is not something I look forward to. I do own a cheap, DAB radio, with a screen in almost the same position, but much clearer, slightly larger, easy to define and easy to select stations. But once having managed the search, store, and select stations This OCEAN internet radio, is a really enjoyable radio, and I take pleasure in listening to it.

When I purchased my first internet radio in the summer of 2020, I had a choice between this device and the Auna IR60, finally selecting the latter because it looked more like a table top radio, and I thought it would have a larger speaker, and therefore better sound. Two weeks after the purchase, the light for the display screen darkened, and finally went out altogether. I contacted Auna and to their credit, they sent me a new radio, without me having to return the other. This radio worked fine for nine months, until the display again went dark, rendering the device unusable. I now have the Ocean Digital WR26, and wish I had purchased it earlier. I have hooked it up with an AV cord to a Crosley table top with a fine speaker, and the sound I get is of a much higher quality than that from the Auna, even from the speaker unattached to an aux. There is a learning curve to setting up the device for WIFI but nothing that a little patience won't ease. I prefer searching for radio stations by either browsing the Skytune categories, or using the search function. If your radio is on the same WIFI network as your computer, you can bring up your list of saved stations, and supposedly add a station if you know its URL. This has not worked to well for me. One problem is that it is not always that easy to find a station's URL since access to the station may be through an aggregator, and the aggregator's URL is not what the app on the device requires. The app is good insofar it gives you a display list of your saved stations, and you can delete from this list, or change what the radio is currently playing, from your computer. or change the order of stations in the list. This is valuable, as some might find the display screen on the radio difficult to view because of its size, and find scrolling through stations too tiresome. I am quite happy with this radio. The quality of performance is high, while the price is quite modest.

The only thing that is missing is a sd-card slot to add mp3 music. Yes it’s got Bluetooth, but it requires me to open up my phone and be at range + draining my phones battery and if I listen to music in the back ground but I also viewing YouTube video I just can have both working in the same time, a sd card slot would of been nice even if the unit would of been a extra 10,00$ at purchase, but for all the rest this is a gray little unit in every other aspect, A1.

This Ocean Digital Internet radio is a mixed bag. Pros: Sound quality is excellent, especially for voice/talk. Very clear, bright sound that is easy to listen to. Operates on an internal lithium 18650 rechargeable battery that charges via a USB micro connector. Buttons are solid and positive. Display is small but readable. I have had no problems connecting to my router, or and maintaining connections throughout my home. As a general rule, I would say that if you can connect a cell phone or tablet to your WiFi from any given spot in your home, you should be able to also use this radio in that same spot without connection issues. You can connect directly to the radio using a web browser from your computer -- as long as the radio and computer are on the same network. Once connected you can manage stored favorites (up to 99). Optionally you can enter in the web address for stations that are not accessible via the Skytune database. Cons: The internal rechargeable battery is charged using a 5-volt USB wall charger that is NOT supplied with the radio. It does come with a charger cable, but you must supply the wall charger. The case is very lightweight and feels like rather cheap feeling plastic. The display is quite readable, but the backlight is on the dim side. Using the tiny display and on-board buttons to search for various stations works, but it's tedious and is not at all a pleasurable experience. WiFi works great, but is limited to 2.4Mhz connections. The radio will not see 5Mhz WiFi. General: Once connected to WiFi, you search for stations using the built-in Skytunes by searching for them using the radio's tiny display and buttons. Although this works, it's a bit of a tedious process due to the smallness of the display and the few buttons provided to control the process. The radio also offers FM reception, which works fine with stronger local stations but does not provide reliable reception on weaker FM stations. This radio also tunes DAB and DAB+, which are a digital, over-the-air radio service used in the EU, the UK, parts of Africa, Asia and Australia. DAB and DAB+ is NOT supported in the United States, Canada and Mexico which instead use the High Definition (HD) radio. DAB and HD Radio are NOT compatible. I've had this radio for just short time, but so far so good. I don't know how well it will hold up over time. I'll post an update down the road. Here is the update. Although this radio does work fine, I eventually opted to return this and purchase the Ocean Digital WR-23F which is essentially the same radio, but with a larger LCD color display and a few more control buttons. It has similar performance and is much easier to use.

Immensely impressed. I have had internet wifi radios for many years, and was one of the first in the US to get one. This is a superior radio in many ways. The internet in my home is cheap and weak, and yet this picks up easily and securely, when two of my other wifi radios, table models, often get no signal. The radio is so small I can carry it with me easily from room to room, or in a suitcase. About the size of a paperback book. The setup, once you read the instructions and realize that the OK button is often the wrong one, and the arrow-forward button is the one you need to SET a command, is smart and intuitive, easy, and very sane. I put twenty stations into memory in not much time, and suspect that will hold me for a long time. The sound is good, and although the volume maximum is by no means loud (perhaps a little too low on some stations), generally the volume is good enough – at least for voices, for BBC, for NPR – but not perhaps for music. Yet in the headphone jack I can stick in an aux speaker if I want a crowd pleaser, or a headphone, and the volume is good. And in STEREO with headset or auxiliary speaker. This radio has been well designed and very well thought out, even I think with a slight delay when you hit a button – in case you got it wrong and want to retract your finger. I am accustomed to RECIVA and PURE networks, but the one this radio uses SKYTUNE, although different, is just as good and maybe better. I have found a few stations, like NYC WQXR Q2 or New Sounds band, here, and not elsewhere (andnot, for example, on Alexa). A solid feel, good broadcast FM with antenna (although I set my necessary FM stations on internet wifi and they are better there). My eyes are not good and the screen is small, maybe too small, but I can live with it. Yes, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS carefully, and they are very clear, clean, and helpful, with some welcome surprises for easy setup and use. I suspect I will be in the market for other WIFI radios by this manufacturer, OCEAN DIGITAL. I’m happy. And not much makes me happy these days (December 2019) in Washington DC
