Premium Luxury Gourmet Turkish Delight With Assorted Flavours, Historical Flavor Since 1777 (11.5 oz/325 g)

I have loved the Narnia series since my childhood, and had always wondered what these candies taste like. If Edmund had anything close to these little cubes of heaven, I can see how he became so obsessed with them.These have always arrived just when they say they will, which is very nice. When my first order arrived, I was very surprised to find the packaging was done so well. There was a little ribbon that read "HACI BEKIR" in their fancy font style, but how they tied it to the box so well I will probably never be able to figure out. It's the kind of packaging that allows you to not put any wrapping on it when giving it as a gift. You still get the fun of undoing a ribbon but somehow the plastic shrink wrap around the box itself detracts from that slightly. This is when I would caution anyone who is going to purchase these candies, or anyone who may have already put in an order. Not caution you against purchasing them. No! Simply caution you to have a few napkins ready. Oh wait! They come with an assortment of very fancy wet wipes! You will likely need one of them or a wet paper towel when you open the box the first few times. It gets powered sugar everywhere! the box itself is a simply lift mechanism. The whole top comes off, so be careful. The wrapper inside is folded into the center with a sticker on it. Oh, and you get a cute little brown paper bag as if you had visited their store. Even better for giving them as a gift! Be sure to tie knots in the shoestrings they have inserted as handles just below the plastic aiglet so they don't completely detach from the bag when you pick it up.Now we get to the actual candy. These things are AMAZING. For those of you who are only familiar with American candies: think DOTS. These have a very similar consistency, but do not stay in your teeth as long. You wont be able to tell which piece is which flavor very easily (again because of all the powdered sugar). I still can't really tell until I bite one. For anyone wondering about nuts or chunks of fruit: these have none. They do have seeds, if you eat a strawberry one, but that's it. The flavor is very good, but it isn't so sugary you can't tell what it may be. Sometimes I get hits of mint or spice. I personally have found that coffee (I enjoy coffee with chocolate in it) goes very will with these delicious little treats.I placed my order on the 1st, got them by the 7th, and now I have 4 pieces left on the 9th. That's how good they are. You may be asking where they come from. I have tracked packages and they are all coming from Istanbul Turkey, so they appear to be the real deal. This actually makes me want to take a trip to Istanbul sometime and see the store for myself! If I could give these over 5 stars, I would!

We purchased these for our granddaughter who played the main girl in "Through the Wardrobe" They were the best we have ever tasted! They actually had some other ones that they were selling or giving away. They were awful! These were fantastic!
