Fantastic Piece of Hardware
This works amazingly as a Ethernet extension and has been in my daily use for years. It's simple to use being literally to just plug in to 2 outlets and press a button and they pair up with no issues. Since they come with plug sockets on as well its not like you lose anything in terms of functionality with other plugs. You can see the difference between the internet on Wi-Fi and Ethernet, its basically night and day and one of the Adapters has 2 Ethernet ports so you can connect 2 devices, I chose to connect my PC and Console the only slight criticism I can give is that the Ethernet cables it comes with a quite short so if you want something longer you'll need to buy them separately but other than that its an all round solid piece of hardware that is essential if you value more consistent internet due to Ethernet.

Works straight from the box
Very easy to setup. Just plug them in and connect the ethernet cables to your devices. I use them for security cameras. Quick and easy, no need to run network cabling through the house. Comes with setup instruction leaflet that was not required because they really are Plug & Play.

Work well but a little bulky.
As with most TP-Link gear I've bought, these provide good functionality at a reasonable price. So far they've performed well providing close to gigabit performance. The Windows-only configuration utility is useful as it shows the connectivity details between each adapter including third-party ones and allows all to be named and TP-Link ones to be configured to prioritize certain classes of traffic at the MAC (layer 2) level. After installing the application, I'd recommend uninstalling the obsolete and no longer supported WinPcap it also installs and replacing it with the latest version of Npcap which is backward compatible and more secure. On the down side, they are rather bulky so if installing on a wall behind, say, a TV cabinet there will have to be a gap, especially if you use the pass-through power socket. It would be nice if they were addressable at the TCP/IP level using, say, a web interface or SNMP so that they could be configured and monitored from other subnets in a routed environment but that's a minor niggle.

Improved My Wi-Fi Without Even Using Ethernet
I didn’t expect this, but just plugging in the powerline adapter boosted my 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal in a room where it used to be weak or unavailable. I’m not even using the Ethernet ports — the Wi-Fi alone is now fast and stable for work and streaming. Setup was instant, and the passthrough socket means I didn’t lose a plug. Totally worth it.

Simple and effective
Our area is having Gigabit fibre rolled out, and I had to sign up for it, you would wouldn't you? But out house was built in the 1800, thick walls etc and powerline works really well. I bought these as I wanted the passthrough socket as you never seem to have enough sockets. Set up was beyond simple, plug in to the mains, plug in a network cable connected to you router or hub and away you go after a couple of minutes. I didn't have to use the pairing buttons either. In the house I am testing at 1Gbs and maintaining that out to the internet. These are really really good, I have just ordered another pair to move my media server and another PC off an older HomePlug set up onto these instead. I can only recommend them.

Fast solid connection that never drops
I'm so happy I brought these! Our Sky Q box was forever loosing WiFi. These work perfectly and the connection never drops.

Disappointing outcome!
Easy to install but caused havoc on my network! This model is without WIFI therefore only 1 star for this. Dead easy to install just plug in and pair if not already talking to each other. Great idea however for me the installation was a disaster. They were bought to hardwire a second Skybox in the house so that I could switch off the 5g WIFI that Sky uses to create a high bandwidth mesh network only between the boxes. Installing these devices slowed the wired network to a crawl and resulted in many dropped connection. It could be that the problem was in the installation because they were plugged into different ring mains in the house, but we have no RCDs in the consumer unit which I was aware could be a problem. A friend of mine bought the singe port version and even though they were on the same ring main, he said performance of the link and network were affected.

Reliable and Convenient
I recently purchased the 2-Port Gigabit Passthrough Powerline Starter Kit, and it has greatly improved my home network connectivity. This powerline kit offers a reliable and convenient solution for extending the network connection throughout my house. Pros: Easy Setup: The powerline starter kit is incredibly easy to set up. Simply plug one adapter into a power outlet near your router and connect it via an Ethernet cable. Then, plug the second adapter into a power outlet in the desired room and connect your devices. No complicated configuration or wiring is required. Stable and Fast Connection: The powerline adapters utilize the existing electrical wiring in your home to extend the network connection. This provides a stable and fast connection, ideal for activities such as online gaming, streaming, and large file transfers. Passthrough Outlet: The adapters come with a built-in passthrough outlet, allowing you to use the power outlet for other devices without sacrificing an available socket. Gigabit Ethernet Ports: Each adapter features two Gigabit Ethernet ports, providing flexibility for connecting multiple devices, such as gaming consoles, smart TVs, and computers. Power-saving Mode: The powerline adapters are designed with a power-saving mode, reducing energy consumption when not in use. Cons: Performance May Vary: The performance of powerline adapters can be affected by the quality and age of your home's electrical wiring. In some cases, you may experience reduced speeds or occasional dropouts. Limited Range: The effectiveness of the powerline adapters diminishes over longer distances, particularly if there are multiple electrical circuits or interference present. Overall, the 2-Port Gigabit Passthrough Powerline Starter Kit is a reliable solution for extending network connectivity throughout your home. Its easy setup, stable connection, passthrough outlet, and Gigabit Ethernet ports make it a convenient choice for improving network performance. While performance may vary depending on your home's wiring and there is a limited range to consider, the overall performance and convenience of this powerline kit make it a valuable addition to any home network.
