Excellent update to this book
If you wanted a copy of the original edition of this book, but couldn't find it for less than $300, here is your chance. It's all historical info now, but Mr Falloon has added a good number of sidebars with derivative bikes and info about customizing and racing the bikes.Very comprehensive, every model from the first Pantahs thru the Monster and SS fuel injected models. This is a great reference for the period it covers.

Useful restoration guide
Quality of photos not as good as original edition(2000). Many look like poor quality photocopies! Typos in descriptions of Pantah photos not fixed. These are niggles - it's a good reference guide overall.

About the book!
If you need to find out which model you want to restore, this is the book to choose. If you are looking for technical manual showing how to do things, it is totally useless. I am still looking for a book that shows me technical restore work on Ducati DS engines.

Definitive Pantah motor resource
Incredible resource for Ducatisti infatuated with 2 valve Pantah engines.Great in depth detail and research. Well written. Great value now that it's available again. Get one while you can.

Indispensable and definitive book
This is THE definitive guide to the air cooled belt driven sohc twins. It is not a repair manual (Try Haynes but if you need to maybe a Ducati specialist a better idea) but if you need to know how many were made in what year, colour schemes, development and model changes this book is indispensable. If only getting original 1989 CEV indicators for a 1989 900 Supersport was as easy as identifying them......I hope it gets updated to include the Scrambler as this engine is probably the most reliable engine Ducati have ever made, which explains why it is still in production some thirty years since the Pantah of the 1980's....

Good motorcycle specs book
A good book, covering the story and some specs of the Ducati Twin-valve.But it won't help you restore one.

Fine for enthusiasts
Nice graphics and some good photography. Doesn't go very deep in technical terms but is enjoyable.

Thoroughly researched, Good value
Everything you would like to know about the Pantah driven Ducatis. Probably the choice of pictures is not perfect as there are many non period photos. Recommended.
