Jack works smoothly and appears to be well built
I bought this jack to replace a hitch mounted unit. The old one was bent and no longer worked. In addition, when the jack is mounted in the hitch you cannot fully open the tailgate of a truck (1/2 ton). This lower profile unit can be mounted to the A-frame further back and allows the tailgate to be fully lowered. The travel of this jack is plenty to lift the hitch of my tandem axle off the ball with several inches of travel remaining. Rather than weld it directly to the C channel of the A-frame I made a 3/8" thick x 3" wide x 4" long plate to weld the mounting tube (provided). I drilled clearance holes for 3/8" bolts on a 2" x 3" pattern to make sure the bolts would clear the root radius of the C channel flanges. I bored a 2.015" diameter hole in the center of the plate. I have a milling machine, but someone could easily use a 2" hole saw. The mounting tube was partially recessed into the hole in the plate, and then welded. The face of the mounting tube was welded 3/16" into the 3/8" thick plate (halfway). The holes that are punched through the mounting tube for the ball lock pin are not equal distance from each end. Make sure that you weld the longer side to your trailer. If you weld the short side of the mounting tube you will be very sad when you discover that the ball lock pin holes don't line up between the jack and the mounting tube. The tube was welded on the outside of the plate and on the back side in the hole that I bored through the plate. The jack works super smooth and I am very happy with it. I've never used a weld-on style jack before. The connection between the jack and the weld-on mounting tube is a bit loose. As a result, the jack leans to one side when the jack supports the trailer tongue. This doesn't really affect its use much other than when the hitch releases from the ball the trailer tongue moves sideways a couple of inches. Nothing serious, just a bit different than I am used to. I don't think there is any sort of design or quality issue with this jack. Rather, I think it's typical behavior for any weld-on style jack.

Arrived ready to mount!
I could not believe the price and was not expecting much but I bought 2 of these for the price of 1 of a cheapy brand at Tractor Supply. I am VERY impressed but how sturdy these were built, the box said heavy and they are. These are actually Reese built products and arrived with everything needed to mount on my trailer. They arrived 2 days after I ordered them.

works perfect. Easy to use easy to install and no problems even after probably two years. Still working great.

Works great but lacking on lift for certain applications
This jack does everything it says and if you look at the specs and everything looks OK to you then this is a great jack. Unfortunately for me, 10 inches of lift sounded good but I failed to add the distance from the foot to the ground before actual lifting occurs and that number was about 5". It effectively cut my lifting height to 5 inches. Oh well. I'll find another use for it. It was too nice to send back.

Sawmill trailer jacks
Bought six weldable with pins and weldable attachments, for 30 foot Sawmill Trailer, installed three for each side, 5,000 pounds each to level Sawmill and take the load of logs to mill. Anticipating they will work very well.

No longer cringe going up and down step driveways.
Measured my trailer for fitment using jack dimensions. Overall length collapsed is 17”. Flange center to foot retracted is 11.5” and foot extended is 21.5”. 5000lb rating is perfect. I welded the flange near the bottom of trailer frame instead of center to get a couple inches more lift. The trailer now has ground clearance the OEM A-frame jack never had…no longer cringe going up and down step driveways. I am really happy with this jack. Thank you Reese.

Easy to crank up or down even with two motorcycles loaded.
Bought this to replace one on a motorcycle trailer due to the same size welded installation bracket that was already on the trailer. Good product with a long handle that gives you plenty of leverage. If you don’t already have the circle on your trailer you will need to have it welded by someone. I do wish they would paint the foot since water pools in it, but almost no manufacturer does.
