The Holy Grail of Phantom Sundays- Outstanding!!!
Hermes Press has outdone itself. For fans of 1930's and1940's Sunday Newspaper strips they can't go wrong by purchasing the earlier Hermes Press Release of the Phantom Sundays- Volume 1; cheaper price, outstanding stories, and more pages with an additional story not included in the Phantom Archives Edition (The Impostor) . And the images reproduced in glossy paper are sharper than the ones in the Archives. BUT for hardcore Phantom Phans, the PHANTOM Archives is a volume not be missed. It is the Holy Grail of Phantom Sunday Stories Collections.I have never seen a better collection in any language. It is in the significantly larger size of the original Sunday pages, about 65% bigger, and it will transport you to the original experience of reading the Sunday pages as they first appeared, in their pristine and authentic appearance. This is based on an actual comparison with many of the original pages I own. For fans of Lee Falk, both volumes will satisfy. For those of us who believe that Ray Moore was the best Phantom artist, to have his work reproduced in its original newspaper size, is a long overdue tribute. The Phantom Archives are worth the extra expense.

Pricey but high quality makes for a treat.
Vivid colors on high quality paper with Sunday panels the same size as when they were originally printed in the papers. The stories are somewhat average for the time. This volumes is about the artwork, which is stylish for the time period, consistent and absent of any misaligned color applications. Vivid colors demonstrate the attention to detail in this quality book.

Absolutely gorgeous volume of classic adventure comics
No good reason seemed to exist in my mind to buy this expensive book, despite Amazon's amazingly low price. After all, I already owned the two-volume collection. Then I saw this oversized recreation of the original Sunday pages at a fellow Phantom collector's house and he let me look through it. It literally took my breath away. Ray Moore's artwork, seen as it had been when originally presented in newspapers of the 1930s and the 1940s, is nothing less than magnificent. And Lee Falk's stories seem to read more fluidly in this style of presentation. Life is too short to skimp on its true joys I'm glad I didn't let this one get away.

Gracias por esta edicion.
Acertada edicion en gran formato que permite apreciar el arte de Ray Moore, aunque ya estaba mermado por su enfermedad,y se nota.Hojala' se hiciera una edicion similar de sus paginas diarias.
