Gabby Quilts for Friends by Michael McCormick

Book is excellent but didn't come with the quilt pattern that is supposed to go along with the story. Great book though.

Purchased this for my 4 yr old great granddaughter named Gabby. She can't read yet but her older Brother reads it to her. Cute story.

Adorable illustrations, and nicely written. No awkwardly crammed-in words to try to get syllables or rhymes to match up. Good rhymes for emerging readers. My 3 and 5 year olds both adore this book.

What a sweet story, with precious illustrations! I am now carrying the book in my quilt store ... I love anything that encourages children to take up the manual arts, be it sewing, crocheting, woodworking, painting ... and I talk to them as they work, building their vocabulary, their listening skills... books like this one are a treasure for a child's bookcase, or a Nana's special sewing room.

My little one LOVES this story. The writing is well done and the illustrations are very sweet. We have read about Gabby and her friends so many times my daughter can finish the sentences as I read aloud. Gabby and her friends are a welcome addition to our bookshelf and we recommend the book highly.

I bought it to read to my great granddaughter and she loves it! It makes a connection to what Gigi does in her sewing room toand a little girl. I've already ordered the new one, "Gabby's Winter Jammies."
