These are really a great deal for the price. I use these to look at and record data from my coins, but also use them to read serial numbers and other data stamped on different vintage collections that I own. The lights in the side are little LEDs and do provide additional lighting that makes a difference. The magnification is good enough for me to read the smallest of writings on my collections. The entire frame and front are plastic so they feel cheap, but they are balanced so they don’t fall off your face or slide due to weight. If they were metal in the front, it would have to be the same with the frames. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Not a comfortable working focal point your work needs to be extremely close to the lens to get a sharp focus. 👎🏽

This is only a two NOT three strength magnification, 8x and 23x. It seems to be sturdy construction. Focal length is about one inch from the lense.

I didn’t realize how close you had to hold the item up to your eyes. However, it does the job! The built in lighting makes a big difference!

only 8 x, other magniffications listed aren't included. plus there is no focus so you have to have it like an inch away from the front in order to see anything, which wouldn't leave any room for your fingers to work with tools on the watch you're looking at
