What would I do if I have a 3 gallon tank?

To dose a smaller volume aquarium with a medication packet, you would need to dissolve an entire packet of medication into 10ounces of dechlorinated water. You use however much medicated water in ounces to gallons you have. For example- Dose 1.5ounces for your 1.5 gallon aquarium. Or 4 ounces to 4 gallons etc. You must dispose and make up a new batch of medicated water each time you need to dose the aquarium.

First 2 days my water was yellowish-brown, now its pink... is that normal???

Yes, this is normal. The final water exchange will reduce the color and adding the carbon back to the filter will reduce the color.
