Very very hot, it draws 8 amps
I have an older ADJ FS-1000, it has a 575w bulb. It also has a dimmer. I put a meter on it and was only getting 81v out of the dimmer so the bulb wasn't at full brightness. I took the dimmer out and put in a switch. I still wasn't happy with the brightness, and it had that yellow incandescent color, not a pure hot white. So I thought go bigger, so I tried this bulb. A note about this bulb, it draws 8 amps. I was concerned with the heat when I could smell smoke, it was burning out the dust, like turning on the furnace for the first time of the season. I was committed, either this bulb works or chuck the whole thing. I'm happy to report I've ran it a total of 6 hours and as hot as the entire spotlight gets, the inboard fan appears to be keeping up with a bulb it wasn't designed for. The bulb fit easily, perhaps too easily. It did slide forward and out during transport.

I am a professional photographer and proper lighting and absolute control of every aspect of lighting is critical in the creation of my images. I did not write this review right away. I wanted to test the quality and the longevity. I use these bulbs every day and they have produced some exceptional images. Pricing was excellent, delivery rapid and the product was represented perfectly. If you value quality, this is where quality can be found.

Base Doesn't Fit
I bought it and the base didn't fit inside any FEL 120V instruments.

The lamp has lasted for a few months with no problems.

Not so good.
I had to modify the base to get it to fit in my Lowel "D" light. Lucky I didn't break it.
