Ukulele Wall Mount, Auto Lock Ukulele wall Hanger, Hard Wood Base Ukulele Holder, For Ukulele/Violin/Banjo/Mandolin Wall Hook Stand

I looked at other auto lock hangers and thought this one was the best.When received it looked well made.However some observations:-(a) The way this and most other auto lock hangers work is by the instrument weight causing the mechanism to turn two little toggles which then prevent the instrument falling out.(b) Although the idea is very good, when the hanger is fitted to the wall it is roughly horizontal or just a bit up from horizontal. When the instrument is held, the hanger then sits below horizontal and the instrument can work it's way forward.(c) The two instrument- retaining toggles are very loose on their pivots, but dont seem like they can fall off.... I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS NORMAL OR THEY SHOULD BE TIGHT? MAYBE SUPPLIER CAN ADVISE.(d) Both hangers stick out a long way from the wall which obviously puts more strain on them.I was unhappy with this so modified mine( I know warranty will be invalidated) .I did away with the nice wooden wall mount blocks and the mounting spacer, then cut the hanger screw down.THEN I made two rectangular 2 mm thick metal plates .Using the same mounting hole centres I drilled the plates and fitted a captive nut on the back to hold the hanger.This is now a much better arrangement which I am far more confident with.I may yet make a modification to slightly angle the hangers up so that when they have an instrument in them they dont sag below horizontal.Note: the supplied wall plugs were hopeless.. I only got as far as using one screw and it stripped. So ditched the lot and used my own screws and plugs.

It’s a great product, looks great on the wall and provides a nice, safe way to store my ukelele. My only dislike was the fixings supplied made it a real pain to fix to the wall. The rawl plugs are too large for the screws provided. When you go to tighten the screws they just spin, which leaves a bit of flex in the product on the wall. I had to get wider screws which meant counter sinking the holes in the product to accommodate the larger screw head size. Not what I was expecting but got there in the end.

Does the job. Easy to install and used the screws and plugs supplied. Works well and looks good. Nice hanger for a tenor ukulele. Arrived the day following order
