Adds Pazzazz to a classic build!
Adds Pazzazz to a classic build! One reviewer mentioned running the wires for the lights on the stacks inside the pieces instead of around them. Another reviewed noted the problem with this is that the bent tubes are not hollow, nor are the blue connectors. Patiently drilling out the solid pieces with a small drill does pay off in the appearance. The bent tubes have to be drilled gently from each end until the hole goes through. Drilling first with a tiny drill, then slightly larger until the connector on the led fits through. Wt's worth the work!

Easy to install, and beautiful when lit.
This is an easy set to install and good practice if your thinking of lighting up another Lego set. The lights are all LED, and the directions for installation are easy to understand. (All pictures) the wires and light are very tiny, so you do have to have a little patience. The lights change color on their own. Really nice to look at.

Fun addition to the Goat Boat kit
This was a fun addition to the Goat Boat kit. The light kit kept my older grandson engaged with the kit build (along with his little brother). Would buy again.

Lights up my LEGO.
It lights up. It flashes. It installs according to the instructions. What more could you want?

"Hollow out" to hide the wires?
I bought this kit solely on the basis of one reviewer who advised to "hollow out some of the pieces" to hide the wiring. After setting out to take his suggestion, I quickly discovered that the elbow Lego sections have a solid partition right in the middle of the curve, and I see no way to get a drill or a dremel through it without destroying these curved sections...yet the user (Amzn buyer) posts photos of the wires running through his curved elbow pieces, but sadly offers no explanation as to *how* this is done. Can anyone explain how to successfully drill a hole through the inside of the curved elbow sections in order to run the wires inside?1,000 thank-yous!

Excellent Addition To Set
These lights really help bring the Steamboat Willie LEGO set to life. The pictures are accurate and it uses white and blue lights. The BRIKSMAX packaging is very professional. It separates each different type of wire into pouches and includes an very detailed instruction booklet with pictures to help with the wire placement. I previously lit up my Disney Castle, and these lights are a great addition to my Disney LEGO sets. If you want your Steamboat Willie set to light up, this is a must-buy!

Avoid this kit
Brixmax make some very nice lighting sets for legos, and I’m sure this one is excellent, but you need the hands of a neurosurgeon, some precision tools, and a level of patience far more than I seem to have to get this one together.I have installed several light kits from various brands (including Brixmax) into Lego sets that I have displayed around my home, but after about seven hours invested in this Steamboat Willie set, I’m just done. I just ordered a different brand and will spend another few hours disassembling everything I just did and maybe see if I can use it to light up something else in the future.Sticking tiny, subminiature LEDs to tiny square foam double sided tape is ridiculous, since the LEDs stop adhering after a couple of minutes. I thought about maybe trying a small drop of hot glue instead, but I fear that the heat from the glue could cause issues with the solder attachment of the thin cables of the LEDs.I am very disappointed as I am not one to give up on a project like this when it gets a little difficult, but this one about drove me insane.I hate giving negative reviews, but based on my experience, I simply cannot recommend this product.

Overly complicated wiring
Teeny connectors into teeny distribution boards for individual lights, instead of strings of lights in series with one connector into a hub.

Looks great with the castle!
It came with directions that were fairly easy to follow, but the directions were for after the castle was already built. I ordered the castle before the lights and the lights arrived first. So I decided I'd try and build the lights in while I built the castle, it worked well but also took a little longer than it probably should have. The only thing I didn't like about the build, was the cable spaghetti afterwards, but I managed to hide most of it!

Toller Lichteffekt
Etwas fitzelig zu verbauen aber erzeugt einen schönen Lichteffekt beim kleinen Disney Schloss so dass man einen tollen Hingucker hat.

Works well and looks good
Install was easy enough. Minimal disassembly, basically just had to take off the front and rear bumpers, and one of the side ‘door’ panels. Bit hard to get the front splitter back on as the wires are just a little bit too thick, but it went back okay in the end.I had had the base set for a while but had never built it until today when the light kit arrived. I didn’t consider integrating the lights during the build as it is pretty clear from the light kit instructions that you start with the finished car and then pull a few bits off. It was all very easy to follow. The battery box is disappointingly massive so there’s no good way to hide it in the car. It also comes with a USB-A plug on a flying lead of 15cm or so, in order to connect it to a power bank or other USB socket. Not completely convinced by the cockpit light. Might disconnect that one. They’re all individually plugged (with very tiny molex connectors) so it should be easy to do without having to deconstruct the whole set again. I really like the look of all the others.
