Nature's Ocean No.5 Taiwan Coral Aquarium Gravel, 20-Pound

The picture is misleading. Grain size is more like the no.8 I was expecting bigger chunks

I bought a bag of this this quite a while ago and just set it aside. But it always seemed to be a larger grain size than what I expected. The supplier's web site states that #5 is supposed to be 6-8 mm and #10 is supposed to be 8-12 mm. So I recently took a closer look at it. Since the bag didn't indicate a size, I managed to remove a sticker where the product identification is supposed to be located and underneath I found that it was labeled as #10 rather than #5. Someone just covered it up to pass it off as a smaller size. Although the bag remains closed, I was able to do some measurements and found pieces up to 20 mm. And when I looked into returning it, I found that I was past the Amazon return deadline. Very disappointing that Amazon would engage in such a deceptive practice and refuse to make it right.

I purchased this believing it was (Grain size: 6.0 -8.0mm) It’s not, grain size is no more than 3.5 at best, it is identical to Nature's Ocean No.10 Hawaiian Puka Shell for Aquarium, 15-Pound as I also purchased this one as well and it’s not all shells mostly crushed coral.They are identical. Both product description and photos are deceptive. I can not use this as intended, I’ll be returning this and the other as well.
