Is it possible to order just a new cover for the foam pad? My daughter is 6 months old and the seams are coming apart where the strap comes out...

Do regular changing pad covers fit on this product? Has it been a real burden to clean ? Thanks in advance.

The regular covers would fit but you would have to cut holes in them so the soft band that wraps around the child could be used. The strap is very important. An infant or toddler that rolls over when placed on the pad cannot roll over with the strap in place around their torso. The Velcro strap is GREAT!The propose wipes clean easily. There is no need to cover it. Hope this helps. I love my propose!

Does the changing pad rip or crack?

Mine has cracked substantially. I had to purchase waterproof pads to lay between the pad and the cover so no leaks will get through the cracked pads. I have used this for many years and it has gone through three children.

Do you need a cover for this?

You technically don't need a cover. The material can be easily wiped down and the straps can be washed. I bought a cover and I think it makes the changing pad more comfortable and it looks nice. I place another pad on the cover under the baby so that I don't have to wash the cover so often.
