Works well and is highly reliable. A good buy. Read the whole review!
Overall, a good product at a good price, but it has limitations. The main one is that it does not achieve 40 deg. F temperature. Here’s how I tested it:—I placed the cooler inside the house at 74 deg. F +/- 1 deg. F—I put 1 gal of distilled water inside the cooler. (It’s what I had.). I wanted to put some mass into the cooler to make it easier to measure the temperature more accurately.—I turned it on (AC power) and walked away.—After 24 hours, the temperature of the water was 50 deg. F.—After 48 hours, the temperature of the water was 48 deg. F.At this point I terminated the test.I think if this cooler is left in the back end of a covered truck in the summer in the sun where the truck got, say, 110 deg. F, you’d never get even close to 50 deg. F inside. BUT, I do think that for the price it’s a good buy. Keep in mind this does not have a compressor it in it. It has a thermo-electric heat sink. So, I think it would be a great purchase for keeping non-animal products cool. I would not put animal products (eg, meat, dairy, eggs) inside it and expect them to last. But for veggies, drinks, bread—a good buy, especially at the price. I’m keeping mine, but do not plan to buy a second. Maybe it’s 4 stars, not 3, but the fact that they advertise it achieves 40 deg. When it clearly will not, indicates some small deception, so 3 stars.UPDATE 5 MONTHS LATER:We purchased this and then sold our home and moved into an RV. We put all our drinks and ran this cooler FULL TIME for 5 months as if it were a second fridge. Worked flawlessly, except when the heat sink froze over (my fault). While it didn’t keep our drinks super cold, they were very drinkable. And the fact that it ran full time for 5 months shows its reliability. I wouldn’t put animal products in here for long term (ok for short durations), for drinks and veggies, a great product. Upgraded to 5 stars because of its reliability and its ability to keep drinks reasonably cold. Glad I purchased this product!

This thing works!
I was surprised how well it works. There was literelly some ice in the bottom when we used it the first time. If you don't "precool" it with ice blocks or cold foods, it takes 3 or 4 hours to really get cold. But it seems to keep the food cold enough for camping without the mess of and ice chest. We can plug it into the campsite power or the truck outlets when we are travelling. Kind of pricey, but we splurged on it to make our "glamping" easier. It has a heat function as well, which my husband found out by accident seems to work really well. That may come in handy when taking meals to friends on a meal train. The handles and wheels like a regular tailgate cooler are a nice touch. Would probably make a nice tailgating refrigerator.

Honest review - not for me.
I will first say that this is probably best for keeping heated food warm for long travels. As far as using it as a cooler, it may not be the best. If you try to cool this it will get no lower than 43 degrees F without cold items. It could still be beneficial, but it took 3 hours to just get to 43 degrees F. It is true that if you add ice packs it will get cooler, but the problem is I bought this specifically for when the power goes off during a hurricane. While my freezer can stay cold enough for 2 days without opening the door, sometimes my power can be off for a week. My fridge temperature is 37 degrees F so 43 degrees F would not keep my yogurt, but could be good for water. If you add two gallon sized jugs filled with water that has been frozen, it will bring the temperature down to 30 degrees in an hour. Again, could be fine as long as you have some ice packs in there, but it all depends on what you want it for. For me, I wanted it for hurricane season when I may lose power and I needed something that would keep ice packs frozen for days. It would be useful for water and some dairy products for a day or two, but that depends on how cold my ice packs will keep it. I wanted something that didn't rely on ice packs so this ice chest is basically just a regular ice chest to me. It may still be useful to keep food warm, but I suggest getting an electric cooler with a compressor to keep items cold. Compared with what you get, the watts used are high. It's around 58 watts to get mediocre cooling when I have a compressor electric cooler that uses less than half that wattage and cools faster without the use of ice. This could be a good backup to store water to at least keep them cooler, but I think it may be best to invest and spend a little more to buy an electric compressor cooler if that is what you want it for. If you want the best of both worlds (cool/warm) then I suggest you buy it but buy at least a small electric compressor cooler so that you can truly get the cold temperature that you need.

Cooler
Purchased this product so that I could have a cooler in my truck without buying a lot of ice. Well looks nice; takes up just a little more room that I had wanted; has more room on the inside that I thought it would; and it keep the drinks cold but just not as cold as I wanted. However, serves it purpose so think I will keep it. The good thing is that I can plug it into my truck until I get where I am going; then I can plug it to the outlet in room where I am spending the night. Also it seem to be pretty rugged

Ran for 16 days without any problem
This little cooler did an awesome job. We went on a 10 state road trip (16 days total) and had this cooler in the car and in the hotel rooms the entire time. It ran constantly except when we got gas or moved it to a new location. It was no louder than a refrigerator. We put it in the closet of the hotel rooms and just used an extension cord. It was great. We did not have to unpack or used the mini-frig in the hotel room which most of the time never worked anyway. My only draw back was how the handle bent for the roller function, but at least it had a roller function. Overall, it is a great cooler for traveling because you can use the 110 plug or 12 volt plug. The temperature is always around 40-45 degrees so our water always stayed cold in the southern states where its above 95 degrees. I also liked that it has a storage compartment on the top for plugs and fuses. Overall I highly recommend this cooler for the price.
