Disappointed--Filter is great but has to be replaced every month!
The Seychelle water filtering pitcher and the filter work really well, clean the water well and we've all, including the pets, have been drinking more water since we got this system 2.5 months ago. But we've had to change the filter 3 times already and the third one now is dripping out only about 1 pitcher of water in about 3 hours which means it's getting near the end of its life. Sure, we have hard water here but these filters are touted as lasting 6 months--there's huge discrepancy between 6 months and barely working for 1 full month. And at $25+ per filter, it's getting expensive. The company does accept used filters for recycling but you don't get any rebate or credit for them, it's yet another cost on the customer since you have to pay for shipping to them. We are currently considering the alternatives--we love the water Seychelle purifies, we can afford the replacement filters now but we intend to retire in a little while and don't want to be paying $25+ just for filters, that's over and above the cost of tap water which just doubled in price.10/11/2011--I ordered 6 more of these filters to stock up because the shipping was free which made them about $5/unit cheaper then buying from Seychelle. I had to replace the water filter today and opened one of the Ecoflo filters but could not get the red top off. I opened and tried another unit, again could not get the red top off. And another. And another. These filters from Ecoflo are useless if you can't remove the red top used only for wetting the filter because they are on so tight--you have to be able to take off the red top so you can screw the new filter onto the pitcher unit! You might want to reconsider buying Ecoflo replacement filters.

flimsy!! n looks cheap! but does the job u guess
Its said that ecofli removes 99.99% of all the contamination unlike other brands out there. The pitcher is fine and filter is okay. Its filter...But I kind of felt that it looks flimsy and on the cheap side kinda not so high or premium quality staff.I only buy or use best ir premium staff - why cheat yoself with cheap and poor quality things plus I have a 5mos baby - I wud never count pennies for my baby.So as long as it cleans the water 99.99% and better than the rest - I got no probs.I wud guve 5 star..if I truly felt the "premiumness"..but that my personal feeling.

Works fine for me
I have used this filter system for a year now. It does the job and last pretty well for me. For one person, I get 6 months use on the filter and I use it for drinking and cooking. I drink a quite a bit of water. The filter can be a little aggravating when you first flush it but once you get it going, no problem. The quality of the water from this system is good. I have well water (with a softening system) and the water taste much better after filtering. I live in Florida and though my well is not actually sulfur water, there is some sulfur in it and lots of iron.

good unit
Water tastes good out of this unit. It is a liitle large but the water filters through quickly and so far we are happy with it. It is supposedly one of the only pitcher units to get rid of some of the flouride, and I like that the filters last 6 months.

Good not great
Does not seem to filter fluoride at all. Purchased test kit and had same readings of fluoride before and after filter.

filters drip slowly and has to be replaced too soon for 1 person
I bought my pitcher in late August. I am one person using it for a pot of two of coffee or tea per day, and to cook potatoes, boil eggs, etc... not that much usage. It is now mid-Nov, and I'm having to replace the filter. This is most frustrating, since it touts to last approx 6 mos for a family! I'm going to be ordering this replacement filter, today... because I don't want to go back to PUR, where there will be NO removal of fluoride, by their bragging about it!If the next filter operates the same as the last, then I'll be looking for another pitcher, if it exists, that removes fluoride. That's why I bought it.
