Will this work in salt water pool?

yes. However I would suggest to wash it off after. salt and metals don't mix. It will run but you can never be too sure with what salt will do over time.

Can two of these machines operate at the same time?

Hi, for the submarines we supply now, some of them has a 40 Hz frequency and some of them has a 49 Hz frequency. If you get all of them at the same frequency (all at 40 Hz or all at 49 Hz), then they are all on the same RC channel, namely, one RC could control all of the submarines. While if you get only two submarines, one has a 40 Hz frequency and the other has a 49 Hz frequency, then you could control them separately with two different RC to race them.
