Exactly what I needed
I dyed a saddle and this worked great to get the finish off so the saddle would take the dye.

Same as finger nail polish
Did the trick in cleaning off the existing leather. Be careful when renovating spot damage due to spillage... you'd almost be better to remove the entire area (section) with the deglazer. It IS VERY POWERFUL.My wife told me that is smells like finger nail polish... and probably a lot cheaper! But, it was effective. be careful about dripping on existing sections... it will immediately create drip spots. Then, whola... you are redoing the entire section/piece. (spoken from experience)

Deglazer, not sexy but it works.
The product is standard and with light application removes wax and dirt from leather belts, bags and shoes so they can have their coloring dye renewd. With heavier application, old dye color can be removed and new color can be applied. Use Resolene to seal and finish treament. Four stars because order was not sufficiently wrapped and bottle broke. Email note to vendor got replacement bottle sent in short order, no questions asked. Good service recovery.

Absolutely Did What it Promises to Do
Used this to strip a 25+ year old leather sofa. I only bought one bottle because I honestly though there would be very little glaze left on the sofa, after two and a half decades of kids and small dogs scrabbling to climb up. Boy was I surprised. I could easily have used two or three bottles. BTW, I used clean microfiber clothes, so I wouldn't leave lint behind. You can buy packs of about 25 via amazon for well under $20, and they are ideal for this project.WARNING: This stuff smells so awful, you will be scrambling to open windows, doors, even considering punching holes in walls to catch your breath. I honestly worried we might lose a bird or a cat to the odor. Think of the foulest chemical odor you can possibly imagine. This is unimaginably worse. Use rubber gloves with this stuff. If it smells this bad and strips leather this well, heaven only knows what it will do to your skin, which is, basically, untanned leather itself. However, that said, it did a fabulous job stripping the sofa and prepping it for the dye job to come. I now have a sofa that looks brand spank new, so new that my neighbor has booked my for next spring, when we can use the deglazed OUTDOORS and do hers as well.I will put before and after photos over on the Fiebings dye review I do next. Does the Job
I had bought a pair of very expensive, USA-made shoes in brown but wanted another pair in black. Unfortunately, they were discontinued and so I was out of luck. So I bought a second pair of brown shoes and used this stuff to pull the finish off those shoes (these are $600 shoes, so this was a huge risk) in order to dye them black. This stuff worked 100% and allowed me to use the Feibings dye to dye them black. The shoes look like they came from the factory and I'm super happy. I sort of assume this is mostly just alcohol, but it did the job and was worth the money to me.

Easy to use
I used this to prep a coat for dyeing. It worked like it should with no problems. It does smell so a little fresh air is good.
