Is the fox a real jelly cat or counterfeit?

Ours was 100% fake! The fur was rough to the touch, stitches were zig zigged down the back, and the face was disproportionate. We know because we have a real one we compared it too. I’m so disappointed - of course my son loves it and can’t tell the difference. Amazon should be held responsible for selling fake stuff but of course they arent!

Can I put him in the washing machine?

Yes! I've washed ours several times and have never had an issue 

What about the plastic eyes? Can they be removed by a child?

My daughter has had her fox for 5 years the eyes do not come off. My daughter had drug hers around by the arms legs and tail.when she was biting rhings still she mostly bit the nose. Unless your child like to knaw and pull you'll have no problems
