Pros:- great for travel- no mess- reusable- cuteCons:- pen isn't the greatest, tip bends and the cap to refill water turns the opposite way than you would guess. I bought a pack of different pens that my kid (20 months) doesn't smash, bc this tip is long and she likes to smash the pen onto the paper.- misspelled wordsIt meets our needs just fine, as we wanted another water pad for her to draw on. I wouldn't give it as a gift bc of the cons but would give a similar gift with a better pen and no spelling mistakes. Good value for the money though.

My three year old and six year old grandkids loved these when they arrived. They played with them for a half hour before the "pens" broke. The "pens" are super flimsy. They tried using paint brushes and dipping them in water. This worked, but unable to use on road trips for which they were bought. A complete waste of money.

i got her several different books and she loves them all. this is a wonderful gift for someone with moderate to advanced Alzheimer's. with mom it's a wonder every time she relives something new on the page, and these are so much cheaper then the "adult" type made just for patients.

I bought this product for my 21/2 year old granddaughter. She loves it!! This product held her attention for quite awhile and she kept going back to play with them again.No mess so she didn’t have to be confined to the kitchen table. I think they will be great for traveling too. Something she can do in her car seat.She loved all the colorful pictures when she was done!!Perfect gift!!!

Very nice product and allows creativity with "paint" without a lot of mess. Our granddaughter is only 2 and she loved the book and the colors that "popped" out with the water.

These are fine but not the best quality. I have another set that cost $18, so for the lower price these work. The paint colors aren't very bright, but a child may not notice that. I prefer the better ones which have hard backs and are removable, but these do work fine and are very fun for kids. And adults.

I am loving the doodle books and so is my grandson. There is no mess and when they dry he can do it all over again. You don’t have to worry about marks on your furniture or clothing. Just add water in the little pen and it’s a win.

2 year old Jack, enjoyed trying to color the fish - just put water in the top of the paint/pen screws tightly on...pretty easy to use, fun and safe
