Not really 'cards' but small paper strips with words
Well, these are clearly not what I thought they would be. I thought they would be flash cards but there very small pieces of heavy paper 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. They are Spanish on one side and English on the other as you might expect. It's nice that one side, the Spanish side, is black text, and the English side is blue text. However, the card numbers only correspond to the alphabetical arrangement of the Spanish side. So if you want to know the Spanish word for something specific, you're out of luck unless you turn the cards over to the English side, arrange them alphabetically, cross out the number that corresponds with the Spanish side and renumber them yourself, which is what I did. It would have been nice if they were arranged so that the English side had numbers that could be used to quickly arrange the cards alphabetically by the English translation. There is a sort of glossary that you can use to look up the English words and find the card that they are on, but the text is really, really, small and difficult to see and very inconvenient for looking up multiple words.I think these are better than nothing as I use software to try and learn Spanish on my own, but there is a lot of room for improvement of this product starting with the size of the cards and the addition of a dual numbering system.

I like that for verbs they include past
These are not actually flash cards, they 3.5"x1.5" slips of paper with the thickness of a cheap index card. That being said, for my purpose I don't mind that. The writing is not blue on one side and black on another as in the description, my deck was all black print, which does bother me. These cards are numbered and alphabetized(according to the Spanish word/phrase). I sort of wish they were organized more by complexity, but it does come with a pamphlet so that you can look up a word (in English or Spanish) and it will tell you the number of the card that corresponds with that word. I like that for verbs they include past, present, and future tenses on the card.I think these can be a useful supplement to your learning experience. I am using the Duolingo app to learn. When I learn a new word, I look up the card and pull it out into a mini deck to study.PROS:over 1000 cardsverb cards include all tenses and additional phrasescards are numbered for easy locationpamphlet included allows for easy look upCONS:size/quality of cards is minimalalphabetized cards is purposelesstext is one color

Useful But Contains A Few Errors
I am a competent Spanish speaker and purchased these cards to refresh my vocabulary ahead of a trip to Latin America.I was impressed both with the selection of words and the fact that many cards included not just the word, but also oft-used phrases that the word appears in - these are infinitely useful.I was a bit put off, however, by the fact that a number of cards contained misspellings or grammatical errors (in areas such as gender agreement). There aren't many cards like this (maybe a dozen out of 1000), and in most cases even if you used the "wrong" version of a word in conversation a native speaker would understand you. But once you start noticing them, they do cause you to slow down and question the other cards as you study. Kind of annoying. All in all, I did get a lot out of this set, and I would probably buy another product from Vis-Ed.

These Are Just As I Remember
I have used these cards off and on since high school: German, Italian and now Spanish. They are useful, which is why I bought these Spanish ones. I hesitated because some reviewers wrote that the cards are flimsy. I don't agree. They are as I remember them. My only criticism is personal because my vision is not as sharp as it once was. The main entry is easy to read, some of the secondary entries are too small for me.

It is nice that they are small
I was expecting these to have black text for the Spanish side and blue text for the English side based on the description and reviews, but unfortunately that is not the case. These are printed in black and on some of the cards the print is not very legible - it didn't print or copy completely. These are about the size of business cards but a little smaller. It is nice that they are small, and the print is still legible, but they are not as easy to flip through in the hand because of the small size. All in all I'm pleased with the content so far but a little disappointed in the quality.

These are great for my needs! Me gustan estas tarjetas!
Am using these to supplement my Spanish language workbooks. They're good for me, because I need to learn more Spanish words. I pull one out every day or so and try to memorize that word. I think the quality is fine. They're packed in there, and not exactly heavy-duty paper, but heavy enough for what I need them for. They give you more than one type of word--for instance, the word may be a verb or a noun, so both versions are on the card. One side is Spanish and the other English.

Great!
The physical cards are slightly smaller than a typical business card and of about the same thickness. Mine were not the thin, see through, cards that other commentators have mentioned. The content is excellent, but not perfect. However, compared to the other Spanish vocabulary cards I have used, these were head and shoulders above them! Each card was thoughtfully laid out with high quality content for someone seriously studying the language. If you are studying for any of the Spanish language competency exams offered by the Cervantes Institute these will be a great help.

I should have paid more attention to the other reviews...
I bought this item thinking I could help myself along with my Spanish in tandem with using the Rosetta Stone. When the item arrived, the box is very sturdy and my expectations were high. Instead, when I actually looked at the cards (more like just pieces of paper), I was disappointed. The paper is so thin, just holding it for long periods of time could rip it. There went my visions of busily studying my Spanish vocab on the long car ride I was going on the following week. Maybe I'll buy a laminator and make them a little more firm, but I hate throwing good money after bad. The cards themselves have excellent words to learn, so at least it's not a complete bust. I'll just have to make sure I handle them with kid gloves.

I found these more like paper than card and not user friendly at all
I found these more like paper than card and not user friendly at all. Only one colour on the โcardโ even though the instructions state the English is in a different colour.
