worked and fit perfect on 1970s sears 150 psi 240 v air compressor
worked and fit perfect on 1970s sears 150 psi 240 v air compressor . Thought it would hit the plastic shroud but cleared it by 1/4 inch . the only extra parts needed where a 1/4 to 3/8 black pipe reducer and male connectors . Pressure cut off was set at 175 cut off, so turn cut off screw counter clock wise 2 turns then re adjust after running compressor .

Good Value, but has some strange atypical stuff to put up with.
5NOV16What I didn't like (followed by what I liked):1 of 3 -This thing comes with nothing in the way of instructions, other than the printed label inside the cover. I bought two of these, sending back the first pressure switch because there seemed to be a problem with the unloader valve, which there wasn't, but the unloader is a bit of an odd-ball part. Unlike what you'd expect, the unloader valve has a spring that biases it OPEN. Pressure in the line closes this spring loaded unloader (pressure working AGAINST the spring) until the point when the switch opens contact and a lever opens the valve. Obviously, that's an operational scenario that will work, but why should the spring bias the unloader valve off its seat?2 of 3 -Additionally, the ferrule on the unloader valve is NOT for 1/4" tubing. I think it is for 6mm (slightly smaller) line. 1/4" tubing won't fit through it, so I had to find a different ferrule, one made for 1/4" line. Also, the supplied nut clamping the ferrule is not designed for a common symmetric ferrule. It has a square (not tapered) rear edge. Luckily, my old unloader line nut made for common ferrules fit this unloader.3 of 3 -The line attachment came with a rather unusual gasket. It looked like it was made to seal/seat at the base of the, presumably, pipe threaded hole. Being pipe threads this made no sense. There shouldn't be a gasket and pipe threads in the same place! Apparently, the threads work, good enough, when mated with a pipe threaded fitting because there were no problems with fit or leaks. The gasket is for ????????Also, I never got a reply form the factory website, although it promises an answer within 24 hours. What I liked:Setting the pressure for the Motor Off point and Motor On point was fairly easy. I was very happy that these two set points (I used 98 PSI & 125 PSI) were very consistently maintained after days of operation.Overall this is a good and reasonably priced replacement part, albeit cumbersome to install. This seems to be especially true when you've got a 3HP 240VAC switch requirement. All the other common, and inexpensive, switches are only rated for 2HP, which wouldn't work for me.
