EcoCheph 4-Piece Eco-friendly Non Scratch Natural Bamboo Utensil Set

Update 2020:I still have these bamboo utensils years later and they are going strong. I haven't kept up with keeping them seasoned with coconut oil so they could probably still be in like new condition, but even still having washed them with soap and water and a sponge or soft wash cloth and I've never once reseasoned them, they are still in excellent shape and I would still very highly recommend them.Original Review: Since I keep seeing all these "promo" reviews popping up everywhere, I'll start with saying this is a legit review, and I purchased this set at full price. (I hate all this "unbiased review of free products" crap) So, on with it.. This seems to be an excellent product, and definitely excellent customer service at Kehn Creations. Can't attest to longevity yet, as I just got them, but they seem very well made and durable. Nice finish w/ food grade vegetable oil, the spatulas are thin enough to get under pancakes, eggs, etc but sturdy enough to flip a nice juicy burger. And all of the pieces just feel great in hand. I also received a bonus piece with both sets, a deeper solid spoon. Nice surprise!Unfortunately, before I even got to use my first set, my roommate scrubbed them with a blue scrubbie and made them quite rough and splintered. I emailed the seller to see if I could just sand them down and re-finish with coconut oil or something, and Amanda was great. She said I definitely could do that, but offered to arrange to send me a replacement set for next to nothing so I could use them without worrying or going through the hassle of re-finishing. I have to say, this is the kind of customer service that makes or breaks a company, and it's the type of treatment I'd hope for if there was a manufacturer defect, etc. But the fact that it was MY fault, they were cleaned improperly and they still took care of me the way they did is A++ in my book.For anyone wondering, don't use a scrubbie or anything too abrasive on these (even the nonstick-safe blue ones!). A regular sponge or dish cloth works fine. Also, like with wood utensils, don't soak them in water. I highly recommend this set, and this seller :)If any unforeseen issues arise with the quality of the utensils I'll update the review accordingly, but I anticipate they will last quite a long time.

I needed to replace my old bamboo spoons & spatulas. This seemed like a good fit to get everything in one set. (Set of 4 with a bonus corner spoon.)4 of the 5 pieces that arrived are beautiful and brand new. It was weird that one of the spatulas (the solid one, not the slotted one) did not seem new at all. It was very dry feeling, darker in color than the other pieces, & chipped.I considered sending the set back, but I already threw out my old bamboo pieces in anticipation of this delivery. Since I still got 4 pieces that look good, I kept the set, tossed the solid spatula in the trash, and ordered a single solid spatula. (A replacement for my replacement.)Long story short, I feel like this was a total manufacturing accident, and most people will get a beautiful brand new set with all pieces in brand new condition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or buy it again myself.

Beautiful, love them! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the first set I received had 2 small chips and a couple rough patches. Customer service promptly sent me a replacement and though the second set didn't have chips or rough patches there was a poor patch job on the back of one of the spoons. I absolutely love this set of utensils. They are good quality, nice and thick but not too thick that you can't flip a pancake or put cookies on a cooling rack. The tip is narrow enough to do that with ease. My gripe is that these are such nice utensils and would be an easy 5 star if the manufacturer cared more about a quality finish. Both sets I had to sand down with a 220 & 320 grit to finish them off so they were nice & smooth and I'm about to seal them off with some coconut oil. With all that said, I still 100% recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again myself.

I tried to update my last posted review, but I couldn’t find out how to do that...?So, I posted earlier after I bought them that they were great and the quality was superb, but don’t put them in the dishwasher because they became rough. The company got ahold of me and gave me a coupon for 99% off another set! What wonderful customer service! The coupon code they provided worked, and I now have another exact set that looks perfect again! I will never put these in the dishwasher. I love them so because the way they’re made is sturdy, both the handles and the top of them. The handles do not tear up my hands, and I can stir away without feeling like they will snap under pressure. Thank you Kehn Creations!

These fell apart quickly. I'm talking after the first wash they were dry and splintery and starting to separate. Even the handle feels icky in your hands when you're using it. See the middle one in the photo, that's a spoon. It's not like I'm a wooden spoon abuser and don't take care of my tools. These things fell apart, and they weren't the cheapest available either. (Edited to take out mean statement)********Overdue edit #2: The sellers sent me a polite message a lonnnggggg time ago to offer to replace the set I got. They also explained that the bamboo set needs to be oiled and not put in the dishwasher. I never replied, but I want my review to reflect that they tried to make good. They seem like a decent company. Lesson= hand wash and oil these up if you want them to last.

I have been looking for hefty wooden utensils to purchase so that I can have the right utensils to use in my ceramic and nonstick Calphalon pots and pans. I love how thick and hefty these are in my hand and I make sure that I oil them every week with my Organic Virgin Coconut Oil from Trader Joe’s. I make sure not to ask them or put them in the dishwasher and just to rinse them off immediately after use so that food isn’t hard to remove when washing them. I’m so glad I went ahead and purchased these because others that I viewed looked like they were thin and I wanted to make sure mines were thick and hefty.
