If we feel a cold or illness coming on we double or triple that and we might go through it faster. But that brings me to effectiveness: Neither of us has the bugs that are going around. I felt some flu-like symptoms creeping in once and I immediately began to take a tsp or two of this about every six hours and the illness faded and I never did get any full-blown flu. My husband takes it to prevent inflammation in his body. His last lipid panel had beautiful numbers and we believe Liposomal Vit C was instrumental in his test result.The taste of this product is like lemonade without the sugar. It is a sour, fresh, lemony taste. It would not be good if you had to drink a whole glass. Taking a few teaspoons is no problem. There is no sickly sweetness or saltiness to the taste to ruin beverages. It dissolves easily in orange juice and 3 teaspoons do not change the taste of the juice. I mixed it into my husband's juice the first time without telling him and he didn't even know it was in there. Ha! I fooled him! But it proved to him that he can take this without any worry that his juice won't taste right.Having this product in a glass container is like icing on the cake. I was buying it in plastic because I didn't think I had any other options. A word about the packaging: These people pack this glass bottle in foil and bubble wrap and cushioning. The package is marked fragile. We've never had a broken bottle arrive. With all the cushion in the box, the box could be thrown around and probably not break (though I wouldn't advise doing that). When we order from this company, our order comes quickly. We don't have to wait 10 days to get it. That is a big plus for me too.I know some people avoid soy in their Lipo Vit C. For us, we avoid soy because of the GMOs. Since this is specifically stated non-GMO soy, we are not concerned about this product being made with soy lecithin instead of sunflower.Overall, this is the best Liposomal Vitamin C product we've been able to find. The price is steep. But it's still cheaper than ordering 2-3 five ounce bottles every month. I highly recommend this brand.
