Studies show infection rates 12 days after tagging may run as high as 80-90% using ordinary identification tags. Destron Fearing tags with antiseptic action cut that rate to 25% or less. The self-piercing tip ensures no disease transfer, and the long shank allows proper blood and air circulation for effective healing and less tag loss.
