Works well! Unofficial replacement for 04495-52040
This part number does not officially fit the 2008 Prius with a production date before April, however it fit perfectly and performs as well as 04495-52040 on my January 2008 PriusThe difference in the two part numbers is 04495-52040 does not have the e-brake attached as it is a separate part number. The 04495-52140 has the e-brake rivited onto the shoe

Brakes are nice but the parking brake connection poor
The brakes are nice and they are genuine Toyota. I wrote originally that the drum lever wouldn’t fit but it was my error on how the brake adjuster goes into the slots ( slot goes over the parking brake and the slot and not between. My bad )
